Should we build 40 pairs of 194cm Devastators? And drop them on our website next week? One-time run?
yes but I'm not in the market to buy them right now unfortunately
Whoever voted no should be publicly flogged.
I'm nowhere near tall enough to buy 194cm skis but they should be made.
This is way too tall for me but I voted yes because I am a man of the people

TWoodsWait do people not buy skis over 189 anymore?

Got my 194 gotama rock skis all set up so I'm okay

What’s the difference between these and bibbys or jeffereys, I might be into em
Do it with the OG layup... 2600g of rocker
idk what its called but i’ve been digging the shorter radius on long skis by changing the shape so that the widest point of the ski is closer to where the rocker beings. almost like a 5-point ski but not really. so with the picture below the blue line is the current widest part of the ski. i think it would be dope to have the same width but start it a bit more inside to that red line. especially if its on a longer ski like a 194.

all skis max out at 189 wets.

The tip shape to which you are referring is called taper. It helps tips and tails (to a lesser extent) not get hooky in deeper snow.
I think he’s talking about the 4FRNT reverse sidecut or whatever it’s called. The sidecut is cut to the shape of the profile as it rises. I think ON3p does something similar. Basically your radius changes depending on where you’ve laid the ski down. I know many skis do a dual and tri sidecut
or maybe it is taper he’s referring to. Who knows. I just assumed he wasn’t because 5 cut is very similar

@Non_State_Actor @BradFiAusNzCoCa i think were all talking about the same thing here lol. a bunch of skis are doing it. one of my favorite examples of this would be the sego big hit but i think they stopped making skis. 😢
since it isnt very round i always thought of calling that part of the ski the ‘butter box’ because its where the rocker is so its easier to flex and its roughly the length of a stick of butter lol.

I'd buy a set of 184 or 186 og layups in a hearbeat
If I lived out west I’d be all about it. Make it happen, set the trend

I use 190+ skis almost exclusively. Unless I'm on my extremely fat pow skis, which are still like 185 and burly as hell, I'm always on something in the 190s.
Hell, my touring skis are 193. I have a set for peak-bagging that are 179 and I feel like I'm on sled dogs with those things sometimes.

We got enough feedback to build 40 pairs!!! Fired up because we wanted to build them. We're going to announce specifics next week Wednesday through our email+social and we'll drop something in here.

That's awesome! I'll keep an eye out.
I have a pair of 194 Devs from the last run you made (2019?) and I gotta say holy frig they are so damn fun…. By far one of my favorite skis in the quiver.
I’m just a hair under 6 ft (legit 5’11” & 7/8ths in my medical records so you know I gotta round up for the tinder bio) so I definitely don’t NEED that much ski but goddamn they are so stable and fun in pow, groomers, and slush I find myself taking them out more often than not. So bomber…

How tall are you??
Cant wait for this. Only reason not to buy devs was the short lenght. Now there is literally no reason not to buy them :)

If they aren't 2600 grams and no taper we don't want it

have you skied the new one? I can't imagine that making a one off core is in the books for them

No because it only comes in 186. But you're right the new ski is probably better for 95% of people.

i wonder what the 194 will weigh in at if the 186cm is 2k
