This is purely for 99% park, but I go outside of east coast canada (quebec, nb, ns, etc) maybe only leave around once a season to go west. would the wide 106mm underfoot be too much or should i just stick to 88mm with the wets, have royales 90mm atm
You’d be fine sticking with what you have but going to a 96-102 underfoot wouldn’t kill you on the east coast and would ride deeper softer snow much better than most sub 90 underfoot skis.

How much difference will a 106mm make in the park, I've never ridden a ski with a wider underfoot than 95

It would be hard to do fast spins and swaps could be more difficult. When I moved from a 102 to a 95 I noticed I could spin and swap faster. I also find skiing switch on narrower skis easier but that’s probably just me
Don’t listen to any of these kids. Im in the east coast and I have wides and they are literally good for anything. I never wash out on jumps, they ski perfect on rails, they feel fast to spin with, good in powder, good for cliffs, and they definitely don’t feel too wide. They are my favorite ski I’ve ever ridden.
I think very broadly speaking, wider skis make it harder to lose your balance on rails, but the flipside is you have less control. So like for example landing a half assed 2 on, I feel more secure on a wider ski. But pedaling hard to change directions for a pretzel, I feel more locked in on a narrow ski

this is straight fax...previously was ripping the give'r last year and copped some used royales this year. The 10mm differences lessened impact on my knees for sure. Imo I feel like east coast right around 90-95mm is the sweet spot
personally i find the widest park ski i can because i find it looks cool looking down and seeing really wide skis for some reason
tutipupspersonally i find the widest park ski i can because i find it looks cool looking down and seeing really wide skis for some reason
should i changes sizes for a wider ski? i was going to get 183 wets at 5"8 but should go shorter cause of the weight of wides?
