I was wandering if I should get a pair of on3p mangos. I already have a nice pair of poachers that I use for all mountain and carving but I am trying to get a ski for 100% park no carving. Are the on3ps mangos a good option? And money isn’t an issue.
I’d personally make the poachers a pure park ski. Then cop some jeffereys if you’re set on ON3P.
Mangos are nice but from what I heard softer than poachers. If you like to jib more and butter then mangos would be solid but for jumps and techy rail stuff a thinner/stiffer ski would be better.

I ride the Magnus’, which I think (not sure) Are a similar ski to the mango. My skis hold great in all conditions, and are relatively stiff with a soft tip and tail. Not sure tho. Is there anyone whose owned both mango and magnus that can vouch?

What are your goals for purely park tho? Different skis suit different styles
Get moment frankenskis I have had the worst luck with the newer on3p. My 2009 filthy riches are kicking it still but the on3p durability has suffered since 2013

My old skis were kinda stiff so I’m trying to get som softer and a little more buttery. And I am probably gonna using these mainly for rails and jibs with som jumping.

Calling mangos soft isn’t really true. Sure, they’re soft at the tip and tail, but they’re very stiff on the majority of the ski. This makes them perfect for true butters nollies Ollies etc because the soft tail and stiff underfoot makes it have kind of a snappy feel. But, if you want soft all the way through, get vishnus. The wides, keys, wets, wet plus are all great options that are very soft and a lot cheaper than dropping 1k plus on some mangos w/ bindings.

straight lining is cool and all but like are you just not gonna make any turns down the mountain or something lmao
I’ve have on3p mango 100. With marker bindings. Prolly 300 days on them, 171 long I'm 6’ so pretty short. Just got mango 90, 186 long and love those too. Honestly they kinda charge for how buttery they are. Super fun at lower speeds. Check out this “topher” guy on instagram he uses them in a really fun way. Ye lookup Tophaloaf?

good to know, buy two of everything

buy vishnu wet+
Borrowed some mangos recently and was pretty surprised by how stiff they felt. Hadn’t skied on3p and don’t do a ton of park anymore and they were super fun to cruise rails on. Pretty stable imo. They’ll butter if you want to but aren’t the noodles I had come to expect. Skis themselves felt pretty bulletproof quality wise
Have a sick pair of Jeffrey 110s for sale if you're looking for an all mountain/park setup. Fully custom, have to sell before I move out of my apartment. Willing to hook someone up

As far as I’m concerned they haven’t really changed up their process and usage of materials since the start. So maybe ur just riding harder and that’s why your newer ones seem to be not holding up as long.

not sure what the long time stigma is about on3p being a noodle ski? I swear for the past like 7 years on this site everyone is always so surprised when they find out they’re not soft. Kinda funny how people see rocker and assume it’s a noodle lol.

went from invaders to filthy riches and it was great. but then went back to softer skis like shredditors/reckoners and just realized invaders sucked.

I own both but still haven't had the chance to ride the mango lmao. Meant to this year but then got hurt too much
Get the mangos. Jeffery's are meant to be mounted farther back than Mangos. Mangos also ski switch better than Jeffery's in my experience. I've ridden a lot of both ski and Mango is the best park weapon I've ever been on. It loves jumps, rails, butters, speed, etc.

Dude same. Used to shit on on3ps all the time, here I am lol.

watching people like magnus and hackel butter and nollie them so well is what made me think they were super soft, now that I own a pair I can confirm they are NOT super soft but definitely not super stiff either

tru you right. That being said the mango is probably the softest ski they’ve ever made. It’s not as heavy/bricky as the Jeffrey layup and the ski will actually bend. That combined with the rocker shape makes it rather easy to butter / nollie, IF you really put your weight into it and have properly fitting boots. Otherwise they perform as the solid ski on3p has been known for making.
@iggyskier yall fucking nailed it to a t with this design. Hopefully it stays around for a long time.

might end up getting myself a pair down the line instead of vishnus whenever my magnus' break

I’ve had 181 on3p mango 100 and a 183 Vishnu wet plus (both unmounted) in hand and let me tell ya, the difference in weight was damn near indistinguishable, and that’s sayin something cus wets are LIGHT.
I love them, I think that theyre a great ski. I have had my current pair since early april 2022. Over 100 days (pretty much only park), and theyre going strong. Theyre soft but only tips/tails, middle is stiff. They have the best durability ever. Mine are going to make it into next season, meaning my park ski will make it into 3 seasons of usage, which is really good. Great ski, pricey, but worth the cash.

Im pretty sure that the Magnus is the same as the Mangos its just that they changed the names
