I guess I understand why people think K-Feds are a poser trick, even though is a stupid reason. Why don't they say the same thing about 3s or possibly backflips? Those are honestly so much easier yet they always get love and k-feds always get hate.
k feds are poser tricks when they're like a f4 with a tap. They imply you can slide rails with either feet forward and have more skills than you do while being a park specific trick. 3s and backies aren't because they aren't just park tricks
To be clear, I think that it's stupid there is a poser trick at all
Ski LCC, crank left threes off of stuff, rinse and repeat. (Same goes for IFSA Jrs. and FWQ.)
Seriously I think thats about the only thing lots of freeride athletes can do, that or backies. Not saying they are posers but also it is worth noting that its a total risk vs. reward throwing tricks like that on natural features if you don't stomp because of "muhhh control and fluidity". Tricks get beat-out by just outright skiing the venue like a beast. In other words, tricks are for kids sometimes.

K feds and shitty safety 3's are my bread and butter and I will apologise to no one
As I got shittier and also riding a lot of different mountains I realized if you can just cleanly slide decent size rails with style you're in a decent percentage. If you can throw some swaps, 2s, and switch tricks in, you're killing it.
Do whatever works. Hell in snowboarding swivels got big for a while, and then everyone started hating on them. Now they're back again. I always liked em.
Unless you're sidejumping the rail lip, do whatever. It's just skiing

Imo the best kfed ever done
Chunder_KhatThere is no such thing as a poser trick.
That’s something a poser would say
Honestly would rather watch k feds all day over fs pretzel 2s.
270 on pretzel 270 out. everyone and their grandma can k-fed
My friend broke his arm on a k fed and it haunts him to this day. Right under the lift too, tells me about it every now and then. Shits no joke.
IMO they just don’t look that good and I think that’s a general consensus. Plus it’s the easiest swap + 2 out combo and one that everyone learns first

His ego hurts more than his arm 2bh.
kfeds feel good while cruising the park. would not film a kfed unless i do it as sexy as matej
K-feds are probably hated on because the only prerequisite is a shitty front 2. Basically lots of new skiers can do it which makes people think it’s ugly.
i literally haven't even heard the word "poser" in real life in 20 years. guess it's been biding its time, licking its wounds and healing while taking refuge in the mouths and minds of butthurt losers. like voldemort
The K Fed is not a poser trick. It has been a mainstay of the part rat trick repertoire since before many of you were born and serves as a milestone in one's journey toward becoming a rail god. You best respect the K Fed.
kfeds are extremely unpleasant to look at but are pretty fun to do. basically a progression trick that no one realistically wants to see at a high level.
The only trick you'll see me hating on is the daffy butter and that's just to people that have way better tricks in their bag. I never hate on anyone that's intermediate/learning unless they're a total shithead and deserve it regardless of their skiing.
Y’all ain’t ready for the fucking J-fed. Me and the homies been in the lab, footage soon.
WoFlowzDoesn’t matter Britney’s are better ✋
honestly easier too

get outta here!

that trick would’ve been real uninteresting if he didn’t do a nollie front swap

i can't. 🙃
Jemsthat trick would’ve been real uninteresting if he didn’t do a nollie front swap
still a kfed. Just saying there's room for variation in the simplest tricks.
ReturnToMonkeyImo the best kfed ever done
Very sick very sick kfeds, but Franchino’s Eat The Guts Ender takes that title sorry

kfed that was single handedly saved by a nollie

This depends on the person. I find britney and ellen both easier for some reason.
Jemskfed that was single handedly saved by a nollie
if all it takes is a nollie to redeem it how bad can it be? ;)
skiP.E.I.if all it takes is a nollie to redeem it how bad can it be? ;)
because nobody does nollies and they’re a very tasteful trick
Jemsbecause nobody does nollies and they’re a very tasteful trick
Well then PEI is the promised land of skiing for you, because the Nollie is plentiful and K-feds are rare.
dwt802Very sick very sick kfeds, but Franchino’s Eat The Guts Ender takes that title sorry
Now THAT'S a legitimate kfed
OP, 360s and backflips are classic parts of skiing that existed long before 'newschool' skiing existed. K-feds are a holdover from low-effort rail sections of slopestyle runs in the mid-late 00s, when rails were barely scored and k-fed users were on their way to do a switch 10.
skiP.E.I.Now THAT'S a legitimate kfed
Damn straight.
my stance on k-feds is if they’re properly done (front swapped properly and slide after for a good length with a properly done b2) they’re an acceptable and cool trick. Kfeds get as much shit as they do because they’re often done in a super shitty manner, rushing the b2 and half adding the swap. I hate that shit but when done right I have no issue.
dub 10 = poser trick tahts why i never do em
any trick can look good it just so happens that the pro's don't do them as much because they are so basic. therefore you get a bunch of kids who do them with no grace or style. = poser trick that gets hated on.

I don’t care what anyone thinks I’m going to continue doing kfeds because I think they feel good. Do tricks for yourself not others. But side question why don’t front swap front 2s get shit on, they’re practically the same difficulty, I think their even easier and don’t think either really looks much cooler than the other, someone explain.

fs f2 are way harder becuase you have to slide unatty and learn how to scissor unatty
Ever heard of the mid west. We have a pro sized jump for 2 weeks
BearsOnKetamineEver heard of the mid west. We have a pro sized jump for 2 weeks
Then everyone in the midwest should have better rail tricks than a K-fed, which is the jump skiers rail trick.
