So I’ve basically nuked my Prodigy 1.0s over the last two years, and my local shop has this years poachers like $150 off, so I’m wondering what the flex comparison on the two feels like? I always felt like I could make the Prodigy bend however I wanted it to, but everyone says Poachers are on the stiffer side of the park ski spectrum.
Well you’re looking at a pretty different ski as a whole. Not only are they going to be stiffer but they’re gonna be a decent amount wider too. The prod 1s are 90 and the k2s are 96. As far as flex goes poachers are some of the stiffest park skis in the game, way stiffer than the prod 1s. So it depends on how you like to ski. Are you comfortable moving up to something a bit wider, and would you ride a stiffer ski. If you’re super into butters and stuff and like to get swervy, I’d say don’t get them. But if you really don’t butter that much and just do it occasionally, the poachers are a fantastic ski. Plus they’ll last you, they’re mad durable. One more thing you’re probably already aware of but that the poachers are quite a bit heavier too. I personally like a heavy ski because it feels strong and powerful when I ride but it’s really all personal preference!

Thanks for this- ended up finding a pair of ARV 96's that were like $25 cheaper, but I'll still definitely try the poachers down the line.
I got 2022 prodigy for pretty cheap as they have huge discounts for employees in the ski industry, but have not been very happy with them. Been riding them for like 2 months and cracked my edge in 2 places. So far they are still skiable but I’m doubtful about the future with them
