What’s happening is vail doesn’t pay their employees for shit so they are going on a well deserved strike (technically just a practice strike)

Im really curious what Vail would do if they striked. I mean, you can technically run parts of the resort without them until the inevitable accident or medical episode. If they tried this shit and someone died or got seriously injured the lawsuit would be a hell of a lot worse than paying the patrollers a few more dollars an hour. It kind of reminds me of this:

Do they not have to be certified and trained? Also Amazon workers are making way more I feel like. They would be like took a lesson yesterday should be 2 days delivery to get you to the ambulance
Good for them, they deserve to make more then a basket of chicken tenders, they're trained first responders so I think they deserve more than the 15$ an hour minimum wage everyone else gets in my opinion.
One of their signs said "Not on strike just practicing".
I said this before, but they should strike for real. The mountain would have no choice but to shut down, and the lost revenue would be more than all the patrollers make in a year.

That’s what everyone who doesn’t live in park city is gonna say. Yes they should have a raise but I would like to ski this season🤷♂️. So I’ll take the practice strike any day

I talked to the union rep on opening day. Theyre still in contract talks, and are just picketing to raise awareness about whats going on, and garnering support. Repost their stuff, and spread the message. Patrol at PC is lowest paid in Utah apparently, and definitely deserve more then the $15.00 theyre making. Hell, all of mountain ops do as a whole.

Definitely a sold group of ski patrollers. Takes hurting yourself to really appreciate them.

All the more reason to pay patrollers more
