I was wondering if the faction prodigy 2.0s are durable, I have a friend who told me that his broke within a month and I'm a Lil skeptical on if it's worth the purchase. I'm a 6 foot 130lbs kid who's just getting into the park so I'm not sure if it's a good fit for me.
Durability has improved and, if you mess them up, they have a great warranty program. You’ll be fine.
Faction has been working on their quality control a lot over the last years and the durability has definitely improved.
prodigy 2s are decent ski, you can get pretty crazy discounts on them and as said, Faction has one of the best warranty programs if you happen to get a faulty pair.
If you like them, go for it
I have 2020 2.0s and they have held up great. I rode them for 40+ days last year and hit everything on em. People that clown on factions durability should give the new skis another chance
Yea I was told the durability is shit but I didn’t believe it so I decided to ask on Newschoolers
I have this years prodigy's and the quality is much better than my old factions. I skied a week straight on them now, hiking rails, all day. Rails are bad for any skis. The noses had some top sheet chipping and some small chunks out of them. Other than top sheet damage on the noses there is no other damage to the skis. I have had 4 pairs of other factions over the years and I never snapped any. The edges came out and other issues with the skis lead to them warranting every pair. Faction has really good customer service and the warranty is nice. Honestly, I have a lot of friends that have had factions and they will all say the same thing. The quality is nothing special, but definitely not the worst you can find. It is decent. You shouldn't be hesitant to get the skis because of the quality, it is definitely good enough.

I was concerned about the quality cause I didn’t realize they had a good warranty and I wouldn’t wanna drop another $600-$700 on skis just for them to shit the bed within a season, thanks for your insight on them though, it’s really made it a no brainer for me to hop on a pair.

The ones you are selling are a different year so a completely different ski. That year is still sick though, just very different.

I looked at the buy sell trade post and they should be the same as this years ski. I have the same ones (but 183 instead) and they hold up great.

Same model, the ski has changed twice since that. Those are still awesome, not necessarily better or worse. The flex pattern is different and weights are different. Also the materials have changed also.
I’ve only had mine for one season. They seemed to hold up pretty well. No major damage to them. Just average wear and tear. Great ski though
