I ski backcountry, free ride, big mountain, and occasionally park. Any recommendation between the Faction Prodigy 3.0, Ct. 2.0 or k2 Reckoner 102?
you get lot's of snow? if so i would size up underfoot (108mm underfoot ish) i have tried the reckoner 102 and they are sick. also look into the Line sfb. they float like a boat and are nice for park
Get a lot of snow but also have snow mobiles, so 102 to 108 is kinda the range I was thinking.
Prodigy 3.0 is my go to all mtn 1 quiver ski. Works great in Utah for powder days under 15" and skis great in the park and on groomers. Its going to be stiffer and a little more chargey than the k2's, as those will feel more noodley. The ct.20 is kind of like a less surfy more poppy version of the prodigy. I would get the prodigy for an all mtn stick and the ct.20's/k2's for a more park specific ski.

Yeah p much nailed it here. CT 2 and Reck 102 are pretty frontside oriented (regardless of what the companies have to say, having owned both, the prodigy 3 is definitely the closest to what you’re looking for). Also, peep @DanielHanka and you’ll see him absolutely obliterating any park he skis on the prodigy 3.0. It’s also real nice in more “freeride” scenarios like mini golf cliff zones and tracked out resort pow. Not the best for super tech rail tricks but if you only want one ski and you only ski park occasionally, go Prodigy 3.0 for sure.
Another vote for the 2021 Prodigy 3.0 which has a nice weight and fantastic build quality out of the high end Fisher plant.
The ski doesn’t change for 2022(unlike the Candide line which go back to much lighter builds again) but made in the Amer plant now.
Grabbing a pair of 2021 190cm Prodigy 3.0 myself as the deals are so good on them right now.

I am thinking about getting prodigy 2.0 for park skiing, have you experienced the warranty at all and how is the durability for the 3.0?

I have had 4 pairs of factions now and they all needed to be warranted. Faction just sends you next years ski with pretty much no questions asked. I have experienced the best customer service every with them. I have had pretty much every issue with their skis that you could think of and they always helped me out.

I haven’t used the warranty because I don’t ski park that hard but the 2.0 and 3.0 are beefed up with 2.5mm edges and a thicker base so they should hold up!
Hello there General Kenobi.
To give my opinion on the topic. I use the 3.0s 184cm, mounted -4cm from the dead center. I'm 179cm tall. I use the 3s pretty much all the time. As it allows me to charge fast, do railtricks, go big, do jump tricks, butters, ski groomers like a surfing tank, ski most of the euro pow... well you get the idea hah. It's just really great all mountain ski, that can seriously do it all. It also lasts long. At least to me, but somehow my skiing and landings proved to be really nice to the skis, so I get split tips and broken skis very, very rarely. This all might sound little biased, because I ski for Faction. However, this truly goes from my heart and love for skiing.. because in my personal opinion, it's the best ski and the ultimate tool to kick ass literally everywhere. Hope this helps with your decision making at least a little bit. If there's something more I could be helpful regarding ski selection, feel free to let me know. Until then, have a great day and stay safe.

How did the warranty work? Did you have to send in the skis you broke? How many days did it take roughly?
Since 2021 when they switched factories and now for 2022 going to another reputable factory(Amer-where they make Atomic, Black Crows and Armada skis) their build quality went up considerably. They were always great for standing behind their skis even when they were in lower quality plants and still offer a 2 year warranty now that they are in better facilities where they have had far fewer issues.
Prodigy 2.0 will be quicker on it’s feet than the 3.0 but you just sacrifice some soft snow/powder performance. For mostly park/front side use, the 2.0 is great!

They have a form on their website. Just had to send one picture, they didn't want the skis back or anything, just a picture and the serial number. Every time they got back to me that day or the day after. They never asked question and had great service
