yo im gonna be competing in some FWQs this winter, anyone have any good recs for a comfy back protector which doesnt inhibit movement? Thanks
not sure which model it is exactly but i have the slytech one made of softish foam with a bunch of holes in it. i barely notice it's on
also try to make a habit of wearing it outside of comps, especially early/late season when the rocks start to show. it's saved me from some bad injuries on days where i was "taking it easy." i think everyone should use one and it's a good idea to just make it part of your daily wear
e: this one. i guess it's made by shred now https://shredoptics.com/collections/back_protection/products/noshock-back-protector-naked

What back protector depends on what mountain. I use POC at Sunday River but at Mt. High I use the glock to watch my back

Big fan of this protector from shred. It's plenty flexible and the straps are burly and snug up nice. I like the straps more than a vest, feels less hot in the spring temps.
Can't go wrong with Forcefield, if it's good enough for motorbikes it's good enough for skiing
Just made my sig

I've never used a back protector but I use a bunch of different POC products and everything has held up well, been super comfy and light.
