I know the parks and stuff are so good in the spring, but its also the end of the season and then you can't ski anymore.
So is it happy, or is it sad?

It’s a kinda bitter sweet type thing IMO. You get amazing park conditions and even groomers and bumps are fun then but it’s kinda a sad ending. But I’m hyped for bike season

yeah bikes give me something to look forward to
I used to get really bummed out this time of year but now I fucking love spring. I’d consider it a happy time despite the end of ski season. It marks the end of winter (I love ski season but working in the cold fucking sucks). It’s the pregame for summer and it foreshadows the end of the academic year. I get a big seretonin boost after daylight savings when it’s sunny and warm out too.
Both bc spring skiing rocks but also no skiing sucks. School's nearly over and you can start making bank. It stays light later which is awesome and things start turning colorful and lively. But 90% of the socializing I do is either on or because of the slopes so now it's time to start finding solo things to do again while everyone else goes and plays with their expensive summer toys and time off.
It’s a little bittersweet but it’s nice to make money again... I absolutely hate when it gets above 70 tho. I hate the heat. I really enjoy lazy cold Saturdays in spring where it’s like 45 and overcast outside
fall sucks more than spring, as odd as that sounds. For me it’s honestly kinda painful, my itch to ski in the fall is so intense it’s painful. Halloween hits and everyone in Minneapolis is skiing, itches me so bad. Spring usually is sad but my happiness from ski season resonates for a long time, this past Saturday was the last day and arguably the best day I’ve ever had on snow, and I’m still feeling the intense euphoria days later.
In February I hate thinking about the season ending but once that first 60 degree day hits I start thinking about camping, biking and beong on rivers again and skiing takes a back seat til October.
Depends on where you are. When I'm out west, spring doesn't just mean the end of ski season. It means that the homies are moving, and the tourists are coming. In ontario, I fuckin love spring. This winter has been so shit, I'm stoked for flying, biking, canoe trips and backyard barbecues with friends.
This winter was rough on mental and physical health for me personally, so Give me 50/60F degree temps, sun, corn, and chair laps all day long till the cows come home.
Springs always been a feeling of "We survived the ski season chaos!" too if you work in the industry or work at resorts, ski towns, etc. Feels like a lot of workers are finally getting out and are happy again after putting up with a real bitch of a season here

I need the off season or I'll run out of knee cartilage before I hit 30. Maybe that's still pushing it...
I swear all my best pow days have been in April or very late March. Plus skiing in slush is the best, wish it could be spring all year haha
Meanwhile, in the alps...
You just update altitudes to where winter never ends.
p.r. Is laax webcam today
pretty happy for me, I love skiing but also Wisconsin winter is bleak as hell when it gets into the -20's in late jan-February. so I take spring skiing to the fullest advantage that I can, and also I start getting stoked for getting on the bike again

Laax isn’t a real place
I feel this. Spring is good vibes even if the season is ending. Fall means it is getting colder but you know it’s going to be a minute before you get any worthwhile skiable snow at the resort

Worst time of the season is September, when there’s no snow, it’s hot, and you’re still like 1 month away from skiing
Slushy spring skiing = :))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
Season end = :''''''((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((
Both.
By April, Im so tired from waking up at 5am every day for the last 5 months, but sad because I wont ski for another 7 months and so broke that I have to work for the next 5 months straight.
