Jeffreys are imo the best stick to put on your feet if you didn't check the snow report b4 the hill
TripleblacksI am thinking about getting some Line blends or something else. The Al Dentes (edollos) are basically trashed. I would be open to other suggestions.
What did you think of your arv 106 ti ltd2s?
i sold mine because the bases were just way too slow to be fun, and they were pretty fucking heavy. Good flex though. Just not a very agile ski

So I purchased those as a shit snow ski. Basically, when I want to figure 11 down a mogul field. They have complete crap swing weight and I would imagine the bases are so so. The one issue I found with them was their mount point was very near center, but as a hard snow ski, I think they needed to be mounted a few cm back. Basically, they are my freeride comp ski. So definitely not a fun ski.
What were you trying to use them for?

What do you mean by freeride comp?
i thought they would be a fun and super stable ski to just fuck around with and hit rollers and small jumps. But they are just so fucking slow and heavy they are kind of poser skis. They look cool but in steeps and moguls they simply cant get out of their own way.

By freeride comp, I mean Freeride World Qualifier (FWQ) https://www.freerideworldtour.com/home/freeride-world-qualifier.
So they are definitely not a mogul ski, they are a figure 11, how fast can I blast through a large amount of shit snow ski. Their swing weight is awful... I am not great in the park, but these things take work to do a 3 or so on... So they are definitely an odd FWQ comp ski. Basically, how fast can I do so-so tricks down very steep skied out terrain?
Let me know if that does not make sense...

Naw youre good. Makes sense. I feel like i wouldve like bentchetlers more bc they are much lighter.
i dont like skis that are so light that they flex like a plastic dildo but if a ski has a good elastic flex then lighter is better.
the arv 106 ti’s were like fucking volants.
revolt 87s are not like feather light for their size but they are so easy to smack around i would rather ride them on a powder run than the armadas. Good park skis ive always found to perform pretty well everywhere including powder

Yeah, these are not an awesome ski by any account. To me they are a filler ski. Like how can I ski a park ski in a freeride comp? I will probably go with a line blend or other super butter ski next...

They were pretty durable tho. I skied them for a week and even hit some rocks but the skis were still in showroom condition when i sold them.
i feel like once you start paying attention to how slick your skis bases are its impossible to ever enjoy skiing on armadas ever again.
i think alot of ppl are like “ehh bullshit, a ski base is a ski base, shut up you nerd...”
but it really makes a major difference.
buy any head skis or volkl revolt 87s and wax them up with lo fluoro universal temp and ski on some 20-30 degree snow. You will creaming your pants all day.

Well I do not think armada really spends much time on ski bases... I mean do not most urban skiers ride them through the parking lot?

I dont wax as much as I should, but my kores stay fast as fuck for a long time. I'm not sure what base the kores have but they feel a lot faster than my factions

If you end up selling them hmu I’m desperate for a pair

Sorry, I am not selling them. They have a few new pairs here: https://gombelsport.com/Ski-Mens/Armada-ARV-106Ti-LTD-Skis-2019
The price seems a bit steep for a two year old ski... I wonder if the whitewalker would be an option.

This is sick as fuck holy shit
People are posting photos so I wanted to jump in on the fun. I’ve got attacks for the deviations but I need buy bindings for the Wreckreate 102s. I’m thinking pivots or maybe sths. Or maybe I’ll fall back to trusty attacks.
Two photos because my quiver is not together atm.
BradFiAusNzCoCaQuiver consists of:2020 Line chronic
2018 Slant Diplomat
2020 Lib Tech Wreckreate 102
2020 Deviation Works Mode 112
Haven't been able to ski the last two yet.
Those deviations (and slants too) look so sick! Love unique graphics

Thanks! I love unique graphics too. You sent me down a wormhole one day when you posted about Folsom graphics. I was looking at ALL of them online haha
which graphic are you going to get?

Probably the 2022 chronics or the 2022 magnus 102 when they come out.

Took me a long time to pin down one, but I always ended up coming back to this one. It's called "nadiyah" from the Andy Patchin series, apparently it was one of the first few graphics they made (This is my actual ski too haha, they just finished the topsheet and it's getting pressed next week). Ended up going with some 188cm Trigger 2s, 90/10 layup, standard stiffness, and poplar/maple/bamboo core...I am so stoked to ride em

Those look sooo sick. Kinda reminds me of a Warhol or like a 60s or 90s album cover haha
Maple poplar bamboo sounds like a super fun core btw

I'm gonna put 22 Designs Outlaw X bindings on my 2020 Sir Francis Bacons. Super fun ski with alpine bindings, can't wait to free my heel on em
Yea I love the colors and abstractness, should be some bangin sticks

Wondering what would be a good addition to my 184 Reckoner 102s mounted at -2cm on the team line. If a stiffer, narrower ski mounted at true center would have any major benefit for park/hardpack ice coast conditions, something like a soul rider. Im super stoked on the k2's though and thought they did surprisingly well on the hard stuff which is why im not sure if another ski would even be worth it.

I have a pair of 175 rmu rippahs and my only complaint is that I wish they were longer. They are fairly stiff for a park ski, 98 at the waist, and they make a 185 now
I saw your skis on Folsom’s insta. Hell yeah

Hell yea haha, they absolutely RIP! Ended up coming out to 2,050g each and mounted at -6.5cm. They are a really good blend of stability and playfulness. Coming down east wall they felt very much in their own but also felt the same way boosting off side hits...probably my favorite ski I have
edit: gotta add this pic of these absolute beauties

start the season with 4 quiver and now the season is over and they are all gone !! want should I get next year now ahahaha
im planning on
using my faction 2.0 2019 75% on snowy/allmountain days and 25% park if needed
line chronic 2021 (crows) with pivots hopefully for park days
surface royales
and some beater bent chetler jr.s
2019 LibTech Backwards
2019 Volkl Revolt 95
2020 Twoowt Keens
already posted here but i’ve decided on what i’m getting:
vishnu wet vincent with my pivot 12s
re-mounting sorda beat salomon rocker 2 108 2014 with new attacks
(anyone know wether the salomons are any good?)
That sounds like a fun, interesting quiver. Always wanted to try the backwards. What are they like?
And more importantly - what is the twoot like??

Haven’t gotten the Twoowts yet. Shipping from Russia takes far too long. The backwards are great. Super light and for being so soft have a great amount of pop. I would highly recommend them.

2021 Moment Hot Mess - spring/when my legs don't feel up to the Viciks
2011 ON3P Vicik - everyday ski
2011 ON3P Caylors - dreamy pow ski
2011 ON3P Billy Goats - standard pow ski
2019 Atomic Bentchetler 100s - touring ski
... and maybe I'll find a fatter touring ski.

love that ski even tho it’s clapped

The Caylors are my babies, I need them to last forever so I save them for making the best days even better.
Whereas I inherited the Viciks and the Billy Goats from my dad, the Caylors were the first ski I bought for myself so they have a special spot in my heart.
i’ve changed my mind about getting new skis, i’m just gonna beat the shit out of my jeffreys until they physically don’t work anymore
ski_salmon69i’ve changed my mind about getting new skis, i’m just gonna beat the shit out of my jeffreys until they physically don’t work anymore
Might be a while
since I sold my bentchetlers ,
looks like this years lineup is the whitewalkers, bdog edgeless, and some tracers for touring!
super stoked to get back out and ski again:)
-eREKTion-Might be a while
Unless he skis into a ditch
Atomic Bent chetler 100s
armada magic Js
aramda declivity 82
and i might buy a used pair of DPSs to tour on
ON3P kartel 116's with pivot 18s for when I don't care about my legs
JSki WhipIt for park laps
And then I just purchased a pair of LINE Vision 108's, I was sitting on the cast system for awhile so I intend on getting pivot 15s to mount on those as a 70/30 backcountry/resort setup. I'm not too sure where to mount them though, I had a pair of magnum opus skis in the past and they were mounted at "Pollards recommended" which is fairly close to center. I think it was -2 back, but I was thinking of doing something similar with the Vision 108s?

gonna b adding some gen 1 HG transfers to dis as of right now
Does anyone have any experience with the billygoat tour? I was jus thinking about using it as a 50/50 pow ski with shift bindings or marker dukes or something.
I still can't believe so many people have so many skis for so many different situations. I own one pair of skis and just tend to make it work whatever I'm skiing.
