Need advice for making edits specifically on a phone. What apps are the best? Currently using splice free trial but it will run out soon. Here’s what I was able to make. I know the tricks aren’t that good this is our first year in park. Any advice is appreciated.
iMovie works well. And don’t use CREAM, I think we’ve all heard that probably in 25% of ski edits that have ever dropped.
more tricks less skiing. In other words you don’t want to Include a 10 second portion of you just skiing up to the rail when the trick itself is only 3 seconds. Also if you’re using a GoPro make sure that shit isn’t shaky

Thissss right here is great. Cut your clips!!! try and make them line up with music or your speed in the video with the tempo of that part of the song. B roll where b roll where it fits well or use it as a transition to another song

so should I find a song I like before making the edit and then make the clips fit around the song or put the clips together and then look for a song that works

find a song you like and fits the clips you have of your skiing then trim and places the clips with it. That’s how I do it
I believe the mobile version of adobe premiere rush is free on the app store. Used it for this when I was too lazy to bring out my cameras and too lazy to convert apples stupid .mov files to mp4.
Definitely not my best work, but it was all made on an iPhone during a 24-hour car ride back from Targhee. As far as actual tips go, do something interesting and try to match it up to the music. I am by no means an eheath but you can make something interesting with pretty limited effects and knowledge.
For this one, the vid within vid, some color grading to make the crappy camera quality look intentional and trying to match with the song went a long way.
And finally, with this example, break up your video! We didn't have many clips for this one but even having somewhat of an Intro (broll):Clips:Crashes:Interlude(broll):Clips:Closing can go a long way for making a shitty incomplete edit like the above one look sorta finished and complete.
