Pulled this off a story of a kid I follow who skis in aspen. Specifically think what Colterjh is saying to him is kinda wack. Mans telling a kid no older than 18 he’s an idiot and dick and shouldn’t be respected for hitting a jump at a classic jump spot in aspen. Maybe it’s time volkl reviews it’s contract with another one of their douche skiers
TOAST.Someone explain to me why this isnt considered poaching, please. Is it because he already sessioned it once? Is it because it's easily accessed? What is considered poaching, if this isnt. From PA and we dont get enough snow to deal with problems like this.
From what colter and Luke said this dude built the jump weeks ago got one session in. It’s a classic jump spot easily excessable from the top of aspen. Colter our influencer is whining about how they hit it in a cloudy day during a big storm weeks after he built it and got to session it. I rly only made the thread because I thought the way colter our influencer behaved because of it. I personally don’t think someone with a following like that should behave like That. I’d think they would behave in a mature or professional way. You can decide weather it’s poaching or not. I personally don’t think so considering he got his session in and built a jump close to resort boundaries in an easily accessible area.

“I cannot deny that the spot is a classic spot for a jump and it’s not far from the top of the gondola.”
it’s like saying the jump on the side of every locals favorite run is “your jump only”
every year, some local builds a kicker back there. Every year, locals hit that kicker; regardless of who built it.
I don't see why you think anyone under 18 is immune to scrutiny. I don't think it was deserved, but that had nothing to do with his age.
I am the person standing on the lip in that post. I can tell you that I have built many jumps on the same roller in the same spot, even one this season (colter actually built his jump on top of mine). Colter should not have reacted the way he did. But at the same time I’m glad that he had such a reaction because I think it is hilarious af how much of a moron he made himself seem.
that video made it all worth it
FUCKIN STOPMED IT
you’re a boss lol fuck colter! stomped the fuck out of it.

Did you tap your helmet with your tails, twice?
I’ve never even heard of Colter Hinchcliffe?
but it sounds like that teenager is a lot more hardcore than him:
”brooo you hit my jump weeks after I built it?! I can’t hit jumps in flat light bro!”
like jeez bro I’m gettin second hand embarrassment all the way out here in Montana.
Here’s the so called “blountman” stomping the fuck out of a dub and going to flat. His name is Ben Isgrig and he is actually the “bluntman” and not a blountman. Not sure what a blount is. And I know age isn’t that significant but we are both older than 19 #flex
ReturnToMonkeyDid you tap your helmet with your tails, twice?
Hahaha sounds like I may have, I didn’t feel them touch my helmet in the air tho. So maybe they were slight taps
Damn dude. Posting clips of you actually doing some rad shit on a jump that someone is mad you hit and complains on social media about it is the skiing equivilant of fucking someones girl and sending them pics/vids of it lol. Good work, Kookey luke

SnowmassColtHaha holy cow I haven’t been on newschoolers for a looong long long time! I am the over rated Colter and I just wanted to give you all a little bit more information on what bummed me out about this situation. I cannot deny that the spot is a classic spot for a jump and it’s not far from the top of the gondola. Of course I don’t own the spot and I am happy for others to enjoy it as well. I am one of the most friendly people you will find in the backcountry and before this incident I am sure blountman (the jump poacher) would have said the same thing about me as I have been very friendly and given him advice as recently as last week when he didn’t know where his exit to a backcountry run was. This friendliness is exactly what actually gives the act of hitting our jump so much disrespect. I call it “our jump” as we spent multiple days and hours building it, we don’t own the spot, but we own the sweat it took to build the jump. Anyways, “Blountman”knows me, he watched and chatted with the 5 of us as we built it better than it has ever, ever been built before. He did not offer to lift a finger to help though. Furthermore, I have been locally vocal and even posted on my story (which we watches) that I was hoping to get enough snow to hit it again and try to land that 1080. It would have been very easy for him to reach out to me (we communicate via DM fairly regularly) before he went and bombed it out on a sub ideal day. It was a surprise to me that anyone would get to it that day and hit it in flat light. If he had reached out I likely would have invited him to session it with us....
I am the most stoked to see the next generation get their chance and watch them progress. I hope to help the next gen as much as I can. This does not include spending hours building jumps and getting snaked by the same kids I am trying to help. It seems like simple courtesy to me. I have learned my lessons through the years and pissed off some snowboarder legend in Austria. I felt bad tho. I learned my lesson and I show respect to fellow riders and I hope this message resonates with some of you. That’s all this old and over rated skier who can’t do a 1080 has to say 😂. For now anyways. Shred on 🤙🏼
If you don’t want people to hit your jump, don’t build it in a classic spot. Pyramid gap has been built for a few weeks now and has had a few different crews I’ve heard and seen, haven’t heard the original builders from this season whine about it being hit by others though....

Yeah bud! Stomped! Also was kind of a fuck you with the first flip, and then a no really fuck you on the second, and a triple fuck you with the clean stomp.
Nicely done. Fuck the haters, get sendy

Colter will claim it's still too dangerous cause "fLaT LiGhT"

What makes it even better is that lighting is not bad at all....
With a low light lens that's nothing, I was expecting it to be dumping snow when Colter was ranting about hitting it in "bad conditions" a cloudy day is not bad conditions to hit a BC jump in.

I wonder if that’ll melt down and someone will case it like Thall at chads
larilinesignCancel culture is bullshit, and this thread is pathetic. The irony of you trying to be like,
"Hey guys, look how entitled this douche is!"
As your nobody ass eagerly tries to destroy his life over something insignificant.
Damn you must hate men so hard? The only thing I see from you is negative feminist posts, this is a skiing forum. Take your politics to Facebook..

Glad to hear Beijing and Ulaanbaatar are in a healthy relationship again. Wouldn't want another Great Wall situation

Lol that's funny. I make a bunch of content (unlike you) and very rarely breach the topic of feminism. It's like walking on eggshells in these parts. But! I'll admit I did have 1 big rant recently, but that guy literally asked.
Eh maybe it did put me on one the last few weeks. God forbid we provide a little women's perspective every now and then on this poo flinging shitshow of 14 year old beta males.
Do I hate men? Lol no. The ramblin roughneck lifestyle I like to live, however, I deal with a lot of dangerous dudes... so I can't be a doormat and gotta say "No fuck off" pretty often. Not really a bad thing for people to hear every now and then.
Besides that, this post has literally nothing to do with feminism and you're triggered and lashing out like it is lol. That's just juvenile.
The post is about cancel culture. Op could've just said "Hey look at this douchey thing." Not go on some crusade to get his sponsor to drop him.
Its a dick move to poach someones jump. Its an even bigger dick move to claim a jump for more than a couple days.
Poachers really scare me. Ill put in 5hr of work picking a spot and building the booter alone. If I came back the next day with gaper tracks all over the landing, I would lose my shit.
Take a few precautions; build in a less traveled area, finish building around 3pm and always hit it the morning after.
