The other day my marker squire brakes just exploded into multiple pieces while landing switch so I had to order new brakes. I drunkenly order 110 mm brakes even though my skis are 85 mm. Will these still work? I'm running out of time, they just got here and my local hill closes this weekend, so if I have to get different ones I won't be able to ski closing weekend
I mean they are way too big but if its the last time you will be able to ski you might as well just go with it now.
SessionYou'll probably break these ones too.
bet

that was my thought. Couldn't I just bend the brakes inward so they dont drag as much?

I'll have to look at my Markers but I am pretty sure they retract when you step in so bending them could make them not retract correctly and really cause issues. I could be wrong though.

I'm 99% sure you're right so I won't mess with them
it's obviously not ideal but 110 - 85 is 25, divided by 2, that's 1.25cm extra on either side. probably will work fine for the sake of not missing your last ski weekend for the year
idk, rules probably vary as well as enforcement, but maybe in a pinch you could just not use brakes for the weekend and use leashes?

I did this one time when my brakes broke and it was terrifying when my skis ejected. wouldnt recommend unless its the only option besides not skiing

i agree, it's not ideal at all. just spitballing in case it helps
Just be careful and you’ll be fine. I fucked up in a similar way and have been skiing 115mm brakes on my 96mm poachers. Brakes have caught a couple times and it’s a bit of a pantshitting experience but I’ve managed.
