Anyone know some trust worthy shops in Utah I can go go get my skis tuned for the season? Preferably not too far away from Sandy area.
Honestly, not a ski specific shop, but I just got my skis mounted and waxed at REI in sandy and they did a great job.
I mean, if all you need is a wax and edge tune, then doing it yourself would probably take as much time as taking your skis in and retrieving them, plus it's a fun activity.
If you don't want to though, I'd say the risk of fucking up for something that basic is virtually non-existent for any shop, so I'd just go with the closest/cheapest.
But if you need more serious work done on your planks, Sports Den is one of your best bet in the SLC area.
For just a tune, literally anywhere. They all have wintersteigers and montanas. Nobody is tuning by hand anymore.
I like the Lifthouse at the base of big cottonwood. Sports Den is good but they seem to have longer wait times for mounting/tuning.
