YESSSS. This reminds me of the old Ryan Schmies graphics that captured me so long ago. Very Seth Vicious-esq

These look like those years with different colors? Also why are they mounted on marker demo plates đđ
Maybe a Meeks pro model? Looks like no edge underfoot.
Thank you for this. I was actually just wondering today
Kbob94New arv 96
So whatâs the skinny on the new salomon ski that luke and jonathan talked about on gear 30? Is it that new ten-eighty playful looking ski?
New tele Touring Boots? Any Specs? Like the maestrale Form scarpa?
SendyMcSendyfaceHold up new tele boot? And I just bought a new pair of Tx Comps lmao.

Hopefully. Those videos were floating around of that ski and it looked super fun. Looked like an updated Rocker2.

Better be. Almost seemed like Solly was trying to phase out the free ski crowd. Don't know how many times I get customers mentioning they miss the rocker2 series

Ah, yes, Iâve seen these kicking around. I wonder if theyâre just QST 106s with OG graphics that the factory/ team manager did for fun for the athletes. Or if it was an early proto...
hoping itâs the latter :)
thanks for posting

I think it might be a new model cah there is more tail rocker than the QST 106 and also it seems like this ski is more playful / buttery
TYW still rocking that gorby gap I see đ
Kbob94New camo pattern from armada for next season!

Kbob94New whitewalker graphics for next season
Next yearâs volkl revolts are unchanged. So now we have two years of shit graphics.. but I guess some people dig them..

Not even a graphic change? Volkl finally started to make some skis people love and then just drops the ball on the graphics.
It's not even that hard to make a new graphic (obviously it is difficult but for a company who employs artists it seems like it should be possible)

Letâs not forget everyone...it was/is a pandemic for the majority of the world. With large amounts of ski area closures across, in some cases, entire countries, Iâm guessing this had a HUGE play in companies not making new graphics.
That is true, do companies normally have "drafts" or alternate graphics for skis?

A lot of brands are moving to adopt the âtwo year turnoverâ trying to keep skis and graphics the same for 2 years rather than 1 to be more sustainable
Is part of the idea that if graphics are the same for 2 years whatever they don't sell in one season can simply be sold as new the next?

Probably yup
LazylightningThat is true, do companies normally have "drafts" or alternate graphics for skis?
This is true. At least for myself and the other artists who I work with at K2 anyway. We do make a great deal of drafts and have things on the backburner all the time. But, keep in mind that we work as an internal design team for K2 so it is our fulltime jobs to keep graphics going all the time.
In relation to the Volkl Revolts that are in the market now it may be a different situation. These graphics were done by an outside artist named Ben Brough and there was a great deal of marketing and effort put behind this from all angles. In addition, a lot of time when outside artists are used you don't have as many drafts to tap into because they are paid for their individual work that they are doing. You basically pay for what you get. I can say from my past personal freelance experience that you don't really just make as many as you can but instead you make only what you need to fill the need of the company. When you're done you send off the files and move onto whatever company wants to pay you next.
But....I dont think that this is juuuust a graphic thing and slapping a new topsheet on some skis. I think its Volkl being smart and respectful of the industry as a whole.
The major factor in all of this is being a team player and by that I mean keeping the industry healthy. Volkl is a huge player in the European ski world and Europe has been hit incredibly hard with this pandemic. Shit...many countries aren't even allowing skiing to even happen right now and this is the second year in a row! What this does is forces shops to close as well as the ski areas. Meaning skis aren't needed and skis just sit on the shelves. The last thing a ski company or any company would want to do is overwhelm their retailers with too much "new" inventory when they can't open their doors to sell what they already have. By carrying a line forward it gives support to those retailers who supported the brands and placed orders in the first place. By doing this the brand is standing with their retailers and showing that they are going to play the same game as them, with the same product and not just drown them in something that is new just for the sake of being new.
I really don't think that Volkl is going to be alone with carrying most their product forward and I'm guessing many of the larger brands will be doing the same.
It's been a rough year out there for a lot of the ski industry...Lets just hope we can weather the storm and get past all of this sooner than later!
Graphic updates to Katana and Mantra line:
Blaze Series:
skidemon22Next yearâs volkl revolts are unchanged. So now we have two years of shit graphics.. but I guess some people dig them..
I dig them, looks decent at pics but very good in person, combined with new jester pro 18 .. just works.
only graphics I really hate this year is the rossi sender and other stuff and dynastar m-free , sad because good skis.
Honestly, I really like the Völkl graphics from this year. Iâd say itâs the first year I actually like their graphics. Now Iâve got 2 years to get some Revolt 104s before they go back to horrible graphics again

Really good perspective, it's cool to here insight like this from someone who knows the system. I think as a normal person I wasn't completely aware of what actually happens behind the scenes and was a little quick to jump to conclusions, I appreciate you taking the time to respond!

Easytigers had a leak of the 21/22 Bentchetler 100's. Same style bases but an icy blue color instead of red/galaxy. I'd really like to see the 120's

Atomic has the longest running streak of amazing graphics on the Bentchetler 120s. Can't think of a year where the graphic was even mediocre. I would say Chris has a permanent job at Atomic just designing graphics when his ski career is over.
