I’d argue it was LSM’s super unknown part in 2012-13 season. They all skied similar since they came up skiing together but LSM really launched “new wave” (fuckin hate that label) into the mainstream- and then magnus blew up after his super unknown and pushed it even further

I agree with everything you're saying but bmack has that weird unique style that solidified the bunch's presence early on. Scott TW Pro-era bmack is how so many people try to ski today, like it or not
BMack is tha GOD. IDGAF if he Solely made it. But he Solely Made it his Own.
AND THAT IS THE SECRET TO SUCCESS IN SKIING.

Said something along the lines of 'Dickie Styza was wearing track pants and swerving around in 2010 when the bunch were all wearing tall tees'

GlacierDaysGarrett Russel!
a super innovative skier no doubt, but when I watch old LTC edits with Garrett in them I don't say to myself "wow, that used to be super weird but now tons of people ski like that"
like, watch the b-mack fireskiing edit and tell me that's not how every swervy street skier is trying to ski today. and it was weird af when it came out, I remember being so confused when I first saw it hahahaha
can attest to D Styza being hesh new wave forever ago.

Hesh is different from new wave though, don't get me started
