Has saga fixed the problem of delivering their outwear on time? I'm looking at buying a jacket of theirs, but I'm not getting it if it takes 1-2 business years to deliver
I’d be curious on this. How many people left saga in Utah for the new company in Colorado. If tons of people transferred over, their issues could still be around.
Saga went poof and left Utah for Colorado. New company is basically just using the logo.

What's the new colorado company? I know Saga had to let someone buy them to stay afloat
Saga is basically now Spyder with steeze that doesn’t appeal to ski racers.

idk i bought face tubes and a lightweight hoodie in like february or something and i feel like they arrived in a timely manner.
I had zero issues this year. I even returned a pair of pants after a month (unused of course) and they refunded me asap.
Order away young one you will not be screwed.
Also. It's August? The fuck you care if it takes 2 weeks. You got atleast 3 months before you need it.

This isn’t even remotely true. Their issues did not lie in their employees and they’re still run by original founders/managers. They have new ownership but still have complete control.
My wife ordered a new jacket from them last week, it took a bit longer than she thought because she was expecting them shipping from Boulder and they actually ship from California, but I mean it was still pretty fast, I’d say it took about 7 days to receive it.
Side note, she actually got a bunch of items as they’re 50% off on the whole site right now and she was really happy with what she got for the price.
So what was the issue?
you don’t think the entry and mid level people had anything to do with their failure? Have you not heard about the horrible (Utah style) customer service this company used to deliver?
If it’s such a great company then why did they basically fold and get bought out by Spyder?

People still want their stuff ASAP, see Amazon....
especially since this company has a history of not shipping and stiffing customers, people want their stuff not because they are going to use it but because they don’t know if they will get anything at all and the excitement of getting new gear.
according to some dude here, saga is still run by the same folks as before, so people has reason to be concerned.

I ordered a pair of bibs at the beginning of last season and they took five days to ship to Salt Lake. Seems like a reasonable turnaround time, but idk how things are now compared to a year ago.
I bought some stuff last year and it arrived in time and didn’t have any issues with it. They also have a big warning on their site saying that it might take longer because of Covid now but that is to be expected now.

Do you have any clue how many companies “basically fold” and get bought by another company? Armada, Salomon, Line, the list goes on and on. It’s not folding it’s business it’s trying to actually make money. Just because they are owned by the same parent company as spyder doesn’t mean they have anything to do with spyder. It’s a parent company they own more than just those two. I know it’s trendy to hate on Saga after what happened a few years ago but shit.
I ordered the Anomie bibs at the beginning of summer and they took three days to ship. They've had a great sale going on all summer long.
A couple other things:
I still have my Anomie pants from four seasons ago just wanted bibs as well. Those pants are holding up real good. They have the large Saga decal on the lower leg that I'm not really a fan of. The new bibs have a smaller one, and with the black bibs I ordered the decal is black also so you can't see it. Nice improvement. The new bibs are high quality with new heavy duty waterproof zippers. At $135, these cost half as much as other bibs I was looking at. Overall, I'm very pleased with the quality and design of the bibs, the price, and the prompt shipping.
Got a jacket from them last fall. Arrived fast. Fell apart fast. The right hand pocket stitching fell out after maybe 15 days of use, which caused the zipper to come apart. Had to hold it together, unzipped, with a big safety pin. Quality is trash.
Turd__AuthorityLol this line deserves way more credit than it will get
i have never heard a more accurate statement. it took a year for me to get a HAT
Hmmmmm, so despite being bought out and moving to Colorado the quality sucks.

My jacket should not have fallen apart. Could be I just got a bad one, but I doubt it. It sucks because otherwise I liked the jacket.
I also got a pair of pants from them but these were old stock. These also fell apart. First, a hole formed in the pocket, and my car key fell through it while I was skiing solo. So I was locked out at the resort, which is far from anything. Girlfriend had to drive up and pick me up, then I had to take a damn greyhound back up with my spare the next day. Later in the season, the crotch fully blew apart and the pants were then unusable. Probably got 20 days out of em.

Man that sucks. Sorry.
I turned my back on saga before all the drama when they turned their back on freeskiers who got them to where they are and started to cater to snowboarders. They stabbed us in our back after we got them to where they were.
I mostly wear armada clothing now.

The core of the company packed up everything from Utah during the spring summer of 2019(there are multiple NS thread posts and emails to customers about this) and moved to Boulder to have the support of a larger corporate structure.
Spyder is also under the same parent company.
Saga is not Spyder. The same way that Line is not K2.
The issues with customer service and delivery during the 17/18 and 18/19 seasons were not because of employees but because of financial problems. As others have said in this thread shipping and customer service over that 19/20 season have been smooth. We fixed that.
Saga has been quiet this summer because the parent company furloughed the 4 employees Saga has and we weren’t allowed to do any work relating to the brand. Furlough ended recently and the core of the company is back. We’re breaking off the furlough dust. We have discussed everything that has and will happen with Saga with our team riders and will be making more information public in the coming weeks.
It’s been a rough couple of years. We moved everything(employees, inventory, operations) from slc and have found a better way to operate. This can be seen in the comments about our customer service and shipping from the past season.
We’re not ready to throw in the towel just yet.
Seems like it’s more of the same though, just not as much.
Clearly you guys aren’t Spyder, never heard of their gear falling apart so easily.
Line and K2 are kinda the same. Their skis are both made in the same plant in China.
Maybe Saga should do the same, make your stuff at the same places Spyder is made. Use Spyder as a valuable resource to check/ proofread your designs for durability and manufacturability.

You won’t support saga cause they started to support snowboarding? Are you fucking kidding me? Armada is owned by the same company that owns Salomon and atomic. Saga is one of the few OG companies left. They had a bad year and fixed shit. I’ll support Saga til they say they close their doors (hopefully never). You can’t tell me there’s a company out there that’s got a perfect track record. It could’ve ended up like Revision where everyone is out of money. Your fucked kid. @Saga. count me in on preorders this year and I’ll be sure to send @MXmx the tracking number and pics of the suit all winter so he can see it’s fucking legit.
rant over

Actually just looked at your threads and you ride Salomon one of the companies that 100% turned their back on free skiing. So your argument is invalid.
Actually I looked at my closet, no Solomon clothing. Try reading comprehension before you declare arguments invalid.
Salomon skis did not turn their backs on skiing, they have plenty of free skiers though they are mostly focused in Europe.
I also ride Faction and Black Crows.
Better luck next time....

Saga changed their mind on what they are, horrible business practice. They decided to chase snowboard money. What’s next? Aggressive inline? Know your lane and stay in it rather then backstabbing people and not shipping shit. The name Saga doesn’t stand for anything.
Saga had a bad few years and got bought out. Still doesn’t look like they fixed everything despite having all the resources of their new daddy, Spyder.
I have some saga stuff, bought before all the drama and mismanagement.

that’s actually what Saga declares them self as, “a outerwear company”. But for whom? That’s a very wide market.
its brand suicide not to have a brand message and meaning.
Whats next?
We already have Saga snowboarding.
Saga hockey?
Saga figure skating?
Saga sledding?
Saga snow play?
Saga ice sculpture clothing?
Saga snow forts?
Saga snow maze?
Saga football?
Quaggy

You should try reading comprehension because I clearly said you ride Salomon skis. Salomon killed off their entire park team. They used to have a killer park ski line up then they just dipped. Left the lifeless comp NFX which is basically still a Dumont. No back country freestyle skis. They are all directional. They had the SPK line up which people still swear by. Even the outerwear with the G suit and magic suit.

They are an outerwear company not a ski company. I saw tons of snowboarders wearing Saga in the golden days. It’s not like burton cranking out skis or anything. I bet your the kid that makes fun of kids for wearing burton or Volcom outerwear if they are skiing.

Here’s the rocker profile of the 118. It has a flat tail. The only reason it looks twinned is the rocker profile.
Idc about a lot of the negatives people are bringing up as long as they do right moving forward. but if they get back on their game and start making some dope ass stuff like back in the day with great quality I’d definitely consider pre ordering and what not in the future. still have a bunch of older gear and love it, wish I had more because it will only last so long

I wouldn’t call it negativity. I would call it looking out for fellow skiers.
Last year I could of told you to sell everything you own and buy Saga gear to avoid being seen as negative. However you’d probably still be waiting for your stuff.
Even currently they are having issues with durability which is crazy given who their new daddy is.

Absolutely. I sold some stuff on facebook this fall but failed to throw anything up on here.
It's just easier selling local sometimes but down to ship things. Most stuff was 50+ percent off when I bought it so prolly trying to get around that. Everythings new. Just really only have large xl mostly because i bought stuff in my size. Just got a little sendy.

Cool well this is a freestyle site, Salomon used to be awesome then they killed off the freestyle side of Salomon and keep cranking out 20 year old skis as a "competition" park ski.
Would you mind elaborating on how “Saga turned their back on skiing” and “chased snowboard money”.
Over 70% of our team, budget, and marketing has been devoted to skiing and skiers for the last decade. Before that there was only 1 snowboarder that was sponsored by Saga.
I legitimately would like to know why you think Saga hasn’t been supporting its foundation of skiers and when this shift happened.
