OCoffeyTo stay on topic, I saw a post on Instagram of them installing the new rope so it shouldn’t be too long now
The website says june 29th for the rope tow park to open

Never been to Timberline, but isn't Palmer a quad? Are you just saying they would open up the quad once they have the rope tow park setup?
I finally won the Abasin lottery. So stoked to have one last day.
My jerb isn’t starting till June 29. Since I get a company car I wanna bring my rig to Beartooth. Just dunno if I should camp or get hotels. It’s not gonna be an open ended trip.

just fyi beartooth isn't selling tickets past the 14th right now because of how fast the snow is melting

i would push it up a week if i were you... its getting colder but its just been so hot up high that the just okay snow pack is dissapearing faster then it should.

that being said you should still be able to find noteworthy patches of snow near the road by then for sure.
Heading up to Beartooth today, skiing tomorrow. I'll update conditions apres ski tomorrow.
Beartooth conditions were on the firm and fast side today. Mogul coaches built a kicker out the middle. Almost watched a chick slide for life to her death, but barely saved by the B fence. Going back up tomorrow, hopefully it'll warm up and soften up a bit.
Beartooth was corned up and killer, best vibes ever. Everyone was having a blast, after yesterday's legit death ice.

Maybe not, patroller told me it was the least amount of snow he'd ever seen them operate with, and it was melting fast. I'd check and see if they're gonna try and stay open til then.. If they are, you should def go, place is rad.

gotcha, if the lifts arent spinning, is there still snow around that would be accessible to tour?

Not really sure, It was my first time up there.
skied T-line yesterday, upper lift wasn't open and it was a delayed opening but they still had a small park set up with two jumps, two boxes and a flat bar. very mellow terrain but still fun to pick spicy lines through the rocks! definitely would check the weather before going, seems like anything over 15mph winds and icy conditions were enough to close down or hold the lifts because we also got shut down the previous day. still very worth it for a day ticket!

There always is skiable snow up in beartooth you just gotta ask yourself how much effort you wanna put in.
skiindianaAnyone who actually thinks this is welcome to stay home. I won’t judge you for your choices, don’t judge others. This is not meant to be a pro v. anti lockdown thread, but I’m not quite sure how avoiding the spread all summer and not building immunity will help the spread be lower in the fall. If you’re one of these stay inside until a vaccine comes people, please let me donate to your grub hub gofundme
Great thoughts. Respect
Not a resort but out East a couple of people I know took the auto road up mount Washington and the coverage was insanely good for this time of year, I plan on heading up there soon and trying to replicate what they did
