Movie: Gnar
Edit: Red bull days of my youth resort segment
I like stuff I can relate to, and watching pros rip around my home mountain is awesome
The newest forre edit is pretty dope In my opinion
Wallisch’s super unknown edit. Impact wise anyways.
Love watching Oliver H’s edits. Always smooth skiing, good tunes, and perfect filming.
also the trollhaugen human being edits are sick af too.
Finess by the bunch had a huge impact on how I looked at skiing and filming, super cohesive/fluid editing and varied soundtrack. Far Out and Finito are both really good too, Finito is the movie I'd use to convince someone how fun skiing is
on a grand scheme though Teddy Bear Crisis probably still holds the title of best ski movie ever, don't think you could truly make a movie in that same spirit today

Ive watched so many bunch edits and movies while working out and they never fail to get me energized good contributions as for Teddy Bear crises i dont think ive seen it but will for sure check it out!
I know it sounds cliche, but Refresh was one of the first ski movies I ever watched. I was about 15 when it came out.
Also, How We Livin was another good one from Stept.
Everyday's a Saturday holds a special place in my heart
It's hard to argue that Happy dayz isn't one of the best ski movies made. I mean if you haven't watched it, here:
youtube.com/watch?v=VO8VTEXKqS8
big inspiration for me
one of my all time favorite free releases, definitely lesser known but this one holds up:

I"m sorry i'm an idiot

Refresh goes so hard, the vibe is there, and the a bunch of tricks still hold up today, it's got mad style and am A-list roster too

I just watched it. Wow this one is incredible...

Mutiny was a huge hit when it came out and it has aged really well. It was the first real street movie I ever saw and it really got me into skiing.
Movie: Mutiny - Stept Productions
Edit: SOVEREIGN - SIMPLE. (or any Jake Carney x SIMPLE.)
a_burgeron a grand scheme though Teddy Bear Crisis probably still holds the title of best ski movie ever, don't think you could truly make a movie in that same spirit today
Probably the best soundtrack out of any ski movie, all the songs really blend together. I love the intros to the parts too, with the names made with the little blocks and appearing on the highway signs. And it's all filmed in 16mm if I remember correctly
I’m youngish and have watched ON3P 3 more than anything. One of my favs for sure otherwise magma is too sick also. I just enjoy the new edits/films more. Soft spot for This is Home by faction
Attack of la Nina is the best but Keeshlife movie 1 is my favourite
Freed the Streets/Boolers Ball/Thirsty were the precursors to all of the hyphy IG edits nowadays. In a time when all the big names were putting out slow motion ski porn with no discernable narrative, hood crew was putting out shit that actually had a feeling to it. Most other stuff from that era was just polished, sterile and boring in comparison to hood crew's chaotic, absurdist style. By no means the greatest skiing ever seen but still a notable turning point in beginning the new wave of skiing and a shift in thought about what skiing would become. Certainly worth putting on a top of all time list just given their rawness and long lasting impact whether or not kids know it.
(totally trevor and LTC helped too but the point still stands)
It aged so damn well

My top 5 are probably: Teddy Bear Crisis, Idea, Sunny, Revolver if you get rid of the dub step pillows at night segment, and Candide Kamera 2
The eighty six by Stept is definitely my all time fav. shea and chucks segment changed the way I looked at skiing
sindreplassenThe eighty six by Stept is definitely my all time fav. shea and chucks segment changed the way I looked at skiing
and sixty/forties is probably my favorite edit
My personal fav is Adam Delorme's Eye Trip segment. That being said this shit does and will always slap

My favs have all been mentioned. But this edit (specifically the 2nd half) gets me more hyped to ski than anything.
Fast spring laps, and pro's going MASSIVE off side booters and cat-tracks. This is how I wish I skiied.
That 3 to tail butter 1 on the Mammoth Jump is insane.

GKSanything gucciman7 puts out
Pretty sad that he hasn't put anything out in a few years, I heard he OD'd on weed.
Mutiny because it’s eight years old and still the craziest urban, maybe besides real ski.
Education of style is the first one that comes to mind
Got all this way down and still no mention of Guatemalan Persuader. Smh. Darn kids don't know what they're missin
Movie: refresh is insane (delorme/ henrik segments are still 2 of my top 5 favourite segments from any film)
edit: this is old but gold

Arguably the greatest park edit ever. Definitely the greatest one person park edit. As far as movies Stept will never be touched.
JhaekHard to answer but I REALLY like Eat the Guts.
Yes! I almost forgot about it actually saw your comment omw to edit the OP
drumbumocdpMutiny because it’s eight years old and still the craziest urban, maybe besides real ski.
After taking a bit of a hiatus from the ski community as other things came and went in life, I watched mutiny for the first time in February and thought it was damn gnarly. Even hearing that it's 8 years old is nuts just because the skiing was so big.
BY FAR HANDS DOWN BEST TWO EDITS AS FAR AS CINEMATOGRAPHY AND SKIING CONTENT GOES...
(1) Drawn From Here - Eric Pollard
(2) FREEZR - blastr
Change my mind...
JpurdI know it sounds cliche, but Refresh was one of the first ski movies I ever watched. I was about 15 when it came out. Also, How We Livin was another good one from Stept.
You should also watch turbo from level 1. it came out the year before refresh. similar vibes, I think turbo is still my fave level 1 flick but some friends mark refresh as their best.
I really like session 1242. Peps and tanners parts are sick, and micks. Also idea is sick, I remember racing home after school to watch it when it came in the mail.
Eye Trip will probably always be my favorite movie. I Fell Ghood will always have a soft spot in my heart.
turbo. I cry everytime T Rain rips that huge AK line and the lighting is so good!
