What happened to all the old threads?
The old forum has been archived. If anyone still wants to browse in that subforum, let us know and we can open it up to be accessed via link

Yes link the archive. Those old threads are references for the pricing of current and future posts.
Digging the new look. Only suggestion is to make the pictures swipe able versus having to click the arrows on either side.
I preferred the old layout. I could see more at once.
Could make it more like ebay. That's easy to scroll on mobile

Alright you big dummies, now theres 25 per page and you can swipe the images.
Not adding the swipe to the preview pictures on listings tho

Those two changes are much appreciated! Thanks.
Honestly like the old way a lot better, there are already sites like gear trade and sideline that are essentially the same.
i always looked for what people were selling, nothing in particular.
there is a reason TGR has stayed the same, simple and easy.
i feel like less people are going to use the bst now that you just can’t make a huge thread and have to be more item specific.

This, TGR tried to go to a marketplace style BST and it was awful. This doesn't look any better.
Just leave it as a forum, it's already pretty user friendly.

No way dude. Nothing worse than having to open 14 threads to maybe find something you're looking for. This is way more streamlined. Let it sink in - you'll come around.

No ones forcing you to be item specific, there's a category that you can specify called "Multiple items". You can set a price range for the different items you're selling. You are free to upload multiple pictures with different price. I've seen plenty of threads on the new system that contains multiple items and the browsing experience is the same.
It would be helpful if you listed specific features and experiences that the original forum had that this lacked. We'd be happy to take a look and implement them if necessary.

Let’s say I’m selling a jiberish lot and I have 10+ or more items, some skis, and outerwear. who’s really going to want to swipe through all the pictures at the bottom to find what your looking for?
just my opinion
CatdickBojanglesYou can't bump your threads?
Um the current informal way is for you to edit the thread slightly and it will bump it to the top. In the future maybe we can implement a bump feature that allows you to bump it after a certain amount of time.

Not sure if you have noticed but this site is dying/dead. The improvements are nice IMO
Mista_BobI preferred the old layout. I could see more at once.
I also did too.
For casual shopping now its a ton of scrolling and page changing.
I gotta add that the working search function is nice. I tested it by searching for On3p and Tall Ts..and it worked!
On my phone I had to hit the search button twice

It’s probably just dying because people don’t ski. Or go outside. Or do shit, except social media nowadays. People are lazy fucks. Skiing is rad.

Does this still apply?
TheClap.Does this still apply?
A bump button will appear on your post after 7 days from previous bump or post date.

Curious how much if any has traffic gone down? Have you guys done the metrics yet? I definitely don't check as often

Well traffic in BST forum wasn't really anything to write home about, looking at the current page it looks like plenty of people are using it. BST doesn't really effect NS operations either way, we didnt create the new section for our business, we were trying to make it better for you guys, which we did, and you're just being stubborn about change.

Judging by pageview its gone up on average 30% since the new update. It's also a bit hard to measure concretely since we implemented CCPA and GDPR integrations. So the new numbers are actually understated.

Dude I really don't give a shit. I was just curious because it is way less easy to navigate tons of posts in a short period of time. When you make changes, you need to evaluate those changes. I was asking if anyone did since all I see are negative responses about it. Yeah it looks better on the exterior but when many people complain about its features/ease of use, your subjective view is irrelevant other than the fact you help make decisions.
And the ad at the bottom of my screen on bst section begs to differ saying "it doesn't really affect operations".

Thank you for your response

Every page has an ad dude, I'm just saying the overall volume of BST traffic is not significant. I've been on this website for a long time and watched it change countless times, every time there are loud voices of people who dont like it, within a month nobody even remembers it changed. My point is the old BST is gone, we have a new and better BST section, please try to embrace it. Even mentioning the idea that maybe the new BST section is doing worse comes off super negative, so you should expect a response.
I'm actully really digging the new BST, it kinda reminds me of craigslist? IDK.
