Everyone told me to size up on my Outsiders but they are >2300g per ski...I hope they won't be unusable in park. I'm not throwing dubs or anything, but I do wanna learn 2 out and 3 by the end of the season. 179 is a bit shorter than my height and would be a bit small, but 189 is really long...
I would say for what you wanna do it probably depends on your size and strength, you might have to muscle those bad boys quite a bit

I'm pretty big, 6' tall 210lbs or so, but idk how strong I really am
179 is way too short for you. The outsiders are super rockered.
Absolutely get the 189
I rocked them for a full season as my park ski and I'm 5'10 and 150lbs.
They were heavy I guess but it didn't make a difference. Could still throw 4s out and swaps and everything I could do on jumps before. I would guess after the first day you won't really notice

shut up nerd, it's a perfectly reasonable question
OP they're not ideal for a park beginner but either way will be fine. like the other dude said, you can still do all the normal park tricks, it's not a huge deal, they're just a pound or two heavier than most skis used in the park. if you're going to ski them everywhere, i say 189, if you're only skiing park i say 179 (or a different ski haha)

This thread doesn't even matter anymore, I bought the outsiders in 189 and posted my review of them like an hour and a half ago.
Peep it in news
Idk what made trvp bring up this thread?

oh my b, i usually check the date on threads
not sure about trvp, he can be funny but he's an Internet Guy so don't spend too much time trying to make sense of him
Heavier skis need more airtime to rotate but they will make your tricks smoother if you are a good skier. A 10%-15% heavier ski isnt going to be that different tho
