Seeing videos of Club Penguin, og Disney, the bridge to terabithia and listening music like all the small things by blink 182 makes me have such a weird feeling. It's like a dreadful happy melancholy.
Depression makes me oddly nostalgic

How do I stop having a quarter life crisis?
_GHOSTHow do I stop having a quarter life crisis?
Do shit that makes you happy. You don't need to have life all figured out. If you can figure out some goals and things you like and start there. There's an endless amount of ways to live life. Jobs, places to live, hobbies, whatever. What works for you might not work for other people. What makes your parents happy might nlt make you happy. The job your friend loves mighr be a job you hate. Everybody will fuck some things up or think about what if's etc. If you get an opportunity you're into, send er even if you're scared intimidated by it. Do shit that makes you happy.
Just enjoy the ride and try not to sweat the small things.
PS: I have no idea what the fuck I'm doing. Just a snowball tumbling down a hill out of control.
Yolo and stuff
That would probably be because nostalgia is a sad emotion. There’s some quote from some philosopher I can’t remember that I occasionally hear boomers use, something like “If you are anxious you are living in the future, if you are depressed you are living in the past”. They usually use it when the topic of mental health comes up but there’s still some truth in the saying.

There is. My take though is that during your early 20's if you are not trying to grow as a person and make yourself better then your life is going to suck. I still deal with a lot of shit in my life but for the first time ever I am hopeful and excited for the future, and that came from me recognizing I wasn't the man I wanted to be and doing everything I could to become that person.

Stop focusing on what you or others want. Who do you want to be as a person and how can you help yourself become that person? Working to better yourself is one of the most rewarding things you can do for yourself.
good thread defiantly some really strong points. Im graduating next year and I feel like once I graduate is when I will be able to tackle a lot of the things that I know will make me happier. (traveling, skiing more, ect...)

I think our existence accumulates on our perceptive awareness to formulate a formative and competitive mindset to keep us constantly going and things to do, as Winston Churchill once said, Human existence is one damn thing after another. To perpetually be encapsulated by mindless endeavours, only prolongs your existential crisis. We exist but we are the experience that exists. In The beginner's mind there are many possibilities and the experts there are few. Life isn't what you make of it, it's what you perceive of what you can make. Cognitive dissonance is a real thing and a lot of people cannot fathom it. If one is tolerant should they tolerate intolerance with tolerance? The inadequacy of our senses to record the backwards flow of information, causes the illusion of sequence and time resulting in a cognitive dissonance of space and time thinking that time is a tangible aspect. Time doesn't exist, outside our perception. A deer doesn't care what time it is when it eats, a dove doesn't care what time it is when it finds a mate, a dog doesn't care what time it is when it takes a shit. Question your own status quo start within and just go as far as you can inwards. We only experiencere this reality with our 5 basic senses that require external electrical stimuli. Everything that we experience is just chemical reactions absurdly reacting with in our brains

Thats cause it was better back then... 2012 really was the beggining of the end of the world.

We are in the Kali Yuga, supposedly. The trends predicted in the vedic texts are proving truer by the day.

What are your thoughts on consciousness?

There is merit in that qoute
False. I think it's the end of " the self". Look at how rambunctious society has become, falsified egotistical values, shallow competitiveness, it's not the end of the world, it's the end of proper, civilized, resourceful human beings
