TGR has one and it seems like a good idea. Everyone has gear that they dont use / see no value in. Im sure broke college kids or kids without the ability to work due to age would find value in it. I had some old salomon ghosts that still had some life in them, but I had no use for them so they went out to the street. Looking back Im sure some kid on NS would have glady just paid shipping for them.
yo real shit, im 18 and have poured literally ALL of my money into outdoor gear. I have worked since i was 14 to support my habit. I understand the value in developing better technology etc.. but someone should definitely make skiing cheaper. also I've got some Dalbello Aspect 100s in 27 mondo. hmu yo.
Dude, this is a really cool idea. I think NS has like 3 employees that actually go into an office, so having someone manage the logistics of a program like that might be difficult? Mainly in the sense that you want to be sure the person getting the gear actually will use it.

Gimme a couch to crash on, some pizza, beer and a pass to somewhere rad, and I’ll do it.
Is this just not like your local ski swap? Why not just donate your gear to a shop that has a swap during fall?
It’s been done many of times, kids on NS were always greedy with it/ a lot of kids didn’t follow through. It’s a dope idea always. Now that NS is a lot smaller it may work.

I dont think you would be able to successfully monitor who actually needs it/is deserving. Im talking about stuff that really has no value to the owner. Like I said before, I just threw my boots out because I saw no value in them. Had I known someone on here would have wanted them I would have sent em as long as they paid shipping. Im talking about a nonprofit type thing, but not a loss of cash for the sender either. the kids pay shipping and thats all.
Heres the scenario I had in mind:
Little timmy outgrew his boots and his parents wont buy him new ones till next year. But timmy still wants to ski.
He dosent have money to buy new boots himself. But if he were able to get in contact with someone who had a set of boots in their basement that were never being used, maybe he could stay skiing.
Sure they may be packed out beyond belief, and still smell from the beer louge you did with them four years ago closing day in the parking lot. But they would help Timmy ski for the rest of the year.
You sure as hell dont care about them, they were probably gonna sit in that same corner for another 5 years. And if timmy turns out to be a liar, it dosent really matter. They were probably gonna end up in the garbage anyway, atleast now you feel good that you tried to help someone stay shredding.
Personally I think those good vibes are worth a lot by themselves anyways.
Bump will take any 26.5 boots. Will be well used spring and summer at hood.

I have some pretty beat full tilt classic shells in a 26.5 but don't have a liner for them

Yo! anyone have any Saga outerwear and virtika pants to donate? No scuffs or cuts please! I will pay $5 for shipping it to me in alaska. I also need a new pair of skis, I'm thinking on3ps and Icelantics. If it's got an edge crack on them, don't even bother messaging me! Thank you and god bless

I would personally rather give gear to kids from this community.
