sounds like it was a little too European for your liking.. cuz it sure as shit wasn't the lack of talent / tricks / dude on dude action
eheathYou're not a very good troll anymore
8 minutes and 42 seconds.
That's how much skiing there is in this movie.
In other words, this movie is 59.9% filler with zero skiing whatsoever.

So going along the same route as your trolling, 59.9% crap with zero originality whatsoever.

That's a bit harsh. I wouldn't call the filler "crap with zero originality whatsoever". Personally I thought the filler was better than most of the skiing.
Honestly that was pretty damn good, there was a strong amount of tech in the skiing and wasn’t an insane amount of swerve you could say. I enjoyed the watching and it was visually pleasing and enjoyable. I expected way more swervy and smaller creative skiing, but I was impressed with some of the technicality.
but did you put your headphones on like it said?
skiermanOh my god, that was absolute trash.
disagree

Every skierman post: BuNcH BaD NeW WaVe bAd
Really liked it. Maybe a bit too much b roll towards the beginning, but a lot of the b roll was good and contributed to the overall movie. Wouldn't have expected Hackel to have the (imo) stand-out part. The kite crash onto the picnic table had me laughing so hard.
I liked it a lot more then Interpretation, which just had way to much b-roll. Interpretation might have actually had a similar amount but I liked the non-skiing shots in Color this time around. I felt like it showed a bit more into the lives of the crew and the vibes they had going around instead of just artsy shots like in Interpretation.
The skiing was super technical and creative, definitely found myself scrolling back to watch a few shots multiple times.
Overall, not a trash flick. I feel like people don't have the attention span for b-roll and with the influx of banger shots that can be accessed rapidly with instagram everyone just wants this crazy stimulating constant banger full length film. Which I guess is possible but that's not what you should expect out of The Bunch, I dig the balance that was achieved in this film.
It's so much more enjoyable if you watch it as a creative piece of artwork made about skiing rather than a normal ski movie. I think the Bunch have really artistic minds and are beautiful editors and they really captured the non-skiing aspects of ski culture that we all love. Plus there were a lot of ballsy features!
I'm gonna have to go with skierman on this one.
I went in expecting something like ON3P3 in terms of b-roll to skiing proportions and music choice. Obviously that was far from reality with over half of the footage being something other than skiing. I understand the sentimental value of these clips to the bunch but it is irrelevant to me and surely to many others as well. The intro credits were an interesting vibe but that vibe was not carried throughout.
I watched this with one of my friends who is a skater. He doesn't know much about skiing. His opinions were as follows:
-Music is trash
-Boring (too much b-roll)
-some cool tricks
So yeah, I guess I should have seen this coming. I don't mean any disrespect to the Bunch but their stuff is certainly niche and it's good that they're getting their style out there.
Very european, and very artsy. They're being them, and that's their culture and style. A nice relaxing movie, though they did add a tinge to much non-ski related scenes.
It was the Bunch being the Bunch simple as that.
Yes there was a lot of b-roll, but that’s just their own way of making a movie and I can see how people looking for one banger clip after another can be dissatisfied. But that’s just the bunch for u, and I thought it was really different but also interesting
Were 3 swaps and disaster 4's not enough for you? Is your ideal ski movie 2 hours of k feds and triples by dudes riding 133's? All ski movies have some random dumbass b roll. Shut the fuck up skierman.

Big facts right here man. Some mad tech tricks for a bunch movie and still all super creative
All they needed was Gus to complete the gay orgy vibes
heavy on the b-roll but skiing was crazy
skierman you really hate the bunch and everything associated with it

I can understand if you love wading through 15 minutes of trash in order to watch one respectable trick. Facts are, they only included all this "artsy" filler because they didn't have enough quality ski content among a dozen of them to even make a short edit. Talk about forcing a movie out of nothing.

i'm gonna save the day here. tell me your paypal and i'll shoot you the $0.00 USD you paid for the movie to act as a refund
we get it dude, you don't like the bunch and you like talking dramatically about it. have you considered an anti-Bunch blog? that might be a nice outlet for your frustrations

I think we're getting to a breakthrough, skierman. I'd agree there was a lot of b roll, to the point that it is way more than many audiences want to sit through, but for a bunch movie, most of the urban skiing was more technical than most Bunch content I've seen. Even the new wavy (or whatever the hell it's all called at this point) were both creative and above the skillset of most skiers I know. Nosepress to misty 5? Actual switch tail butters that aren't just shitty reverts? Even Magnus's surgace swap to lip on thing, as doable as I'm sure it may be to learn, looked dope. Not the bunches fault insta edits and whatnot make it really difficult to release an annual blockbuster that they can cut into an hour and a half of pure skiing.

Out of a 20 minute ski movie, you can only name a couple of tricks that were "impressive". Thank you for proving my point.
I appreciate it for its aesthetic and artistic value.
we have ski films with insane high risk tricks and thug vibes with big clothes and cop cars. In this film they aren't trying to prove to anyone how cool they are, they are showcasing their love for the sport and the people they do it with. It's a broader picture of skiing.
Most people are never going to ski like they do, but we can all relate to when they hug after landing a trick at a difficult spot. It doesn't matter if your doing your first cork 7 on a park jump or doing a 4 off a roof onto an urban rail, we all love skiing, and we all love doing it with our friends.
It's an art film, not a ski edit. there are plenty of ski edits if you prefer those.
All I want to say is thank you to The Bunch and everyone involved. Beautiful

I'm not gonna list every trick I thought was cool, genius. Your argument is in line with hating modal jazz because the musicians don't follow the same exact key throughout. If cut throat skiing to the highest possible ability level, ski movies in general probably aren't for you. I'd love to see skierman lose a game of slvsh to literally anyone who can like straight slide a double kink.
postal_slime3 minute intro? Why?
I don't mind a long intro with minimal/no skiing personally. Lots of legendary movies have them like IDEA, Refresh, and Numinous
skierman felt the need to make this thread because he didn't get enough of a response when he commented on their video
I'm still not the biggest fan of the loose swervy style but the were some really solid shot in there. Some innovative out of the box shit. That's the kind of shit that makes people want to go out and ski, fucking around on some new shit, hitting things differently, and riding weird features.
A good watch. Honestly other than the opening it was pretty much all skiing. Def keeping it fun
Some interesting takes on different features. Interested to see what the hell you goddamn hooligans are going to be trying in the parks the next few weeks.
To much B-roll for my taste. I would have rather had it been 10 minutes and only skiing.
Also, wish I saw more skiing from LSM.
Was decent.
Hot take, skierman is affiliated with the bunch, and his uncanny ability to hate on them only brings them more views from people like me who would have otherwise had no idea they released a new edit

Yeah I wish there was more LSM he's dope and brings a little different flavor of skiing. His part was my favorite in Interpretation and was kinda expecting more in this
I liked color better than interpretation based on ski content. However, I thought Interpretation had a much more emotionally grabbing and artistic aesthetic to it through the b-roll. The lil seggy with the nature and protesting shots with the Pocahontas track were very powerful IMO
i hardly even fuck with bunchy skiing but that movie was actually really fucking sick, OP just has nothing funny anymore is getting super desperate.

I'd love to see someone create like a hollywood film with straight dialogue to, f*ck the b-roll honestly

We'd read it
First of all this isn't a ski movie. The bunch makes art. If you want a straight action ski movie go watch teton or level 1 or something else. These guys are in it for the fun of it and to create something new. That being said, I think interpretation was a better movie personally. After finishing COLOR I didn't feel like I had just watched the newest bunch movie somehow it just didn't have the ground breaking feel I got with each of the previous films and with roasted and stain and ON3P 3. I will keep watching it though and maybe it will grow on me... I think this movie had too much high resilution clips so it felt less homestyle/DIY than I was looking for. The tricks were the big innovation in my opinion. You could really tell how much thought went into the lines and such, the creative process was evident and definitely inspirational as fuck. I missed mango a lot in this one. I loved his part in interpretation so so much and just his skiing in general, especially in collaboration with the rest of the crew but I am very happy that HACKEL made an appearance cuz east coast representation makes me happy lmao. Also the music choice in this movie lacked variety I felt and most of the parts used very low energy more "vibe-oriented" song choices. Still a movie I will watch before going to the mountain for inspo tho and I loved the focus on how much fun the crew had together. Everyone was smiling and stoked all the time and that type of positivity is what i am talking about!! (editted: I have now seen the movie 20 plus times no exaggereation and I can say that is a fantastic movie full of good vibes and happy people doing what they love! Also working hard to find some of the more obscure songs in the soundtrack because I love the music too. Overall the whole movie grew on me a ton :))

NO. Your trash. That was the most epic skiing this year.
Opinions are like assholes, everybody got one and skiermans clearly has something stuck up it

I can throw feces against a wall and call it "art" but at the end of the day its still shit to anyone with common sense. Your point is absurd.

tarantino could do it
The day Skierman says something positive about the bunch will be the day the world ends.

It's ok, skierman just hasn't reached maturity and can't understand people doing something different than him, it's ok man, I use to shit on others skiing but then I grew the fuck up.
