so obviously vishnu wets are the most hyped ski right now and vishnu is well aware that everybody wants them. This past season they sold for $440 and they absolutely blew up, will they raise the price to $600, $500, $550? Or will it remain the same?
weastcoastThey sold for 420.
https://www.vishnufreeski.com/product/vishnuwet/ $440 dog u get the point either way
Well then the presale was 420. But anyway I don’t think they’ll go up anymore (at least I hope not) because their flagship reputation is being cheaper than the competition while being more durable, which is holding true.

they might get hungry for the green. they have a small production team and a small company maybe they wanna stack some cake and expand and be able to create better and more products, move out the garage to a storefront type thing (not to like a armada size) but something thats financially smarter
I have faith in Emmet hes from Wisconsin which is secretly the ski mecca of earth
They're a very competent marketing company. They'll keep it at whatever price will make them the most $$.
VinnieFThey're a very competent marketing company. They'll keep it at whatever price will make them the most $$.
I guess what i mean to say is will they keep their dignity as a "small" limited ski company. People will fork over fucking $700 if they put the price that high, but with all this hype will they remain at their roots making dope products at a decent price? They have the hype behind them to make this a super big brand as big as some of the big boys (faction, armada, line, etc.) but I hope they won't go that route, wondering what the people of NS hope for and think what will happen.
Emmett has talked about how VISHNU will always have a ski available for under $500 so I don't see the wet going up in price. Maybe the wides will get more expensive but its already priced pretty well at around $650 (I think) so it should stay the same.

Every park ski should be priced lower then $600 because you just going to beat the shit out of them, i see people go through 3+ pairs a season and it gets expensive especially if you really shred

3 pairs a season ??? They must be riding line blends or something
weastcoast3 pairs a season ??? They must be riding line blends or something
Factions, Line blends, Moments shit if your in the park almost daily your skis are gonna get crushed especially on the ice coast where we ski on rocks and shit, point is I've seen people shred through factions and blends and park skis in general, I bought the Moment Frankenski (great ski) for $600, those aren't gonna last me more than 2 seasons and thats a lot of money to spend for 2 years maybe less

Moments are solid. But once you get heavy into rails you won’t have a ski last you much more than a year if you get to a year. But he big misconception people have is that once they have edge pullout they think they need a new ski. False. If your skis slide on snow and rails then they aren’t dead, therefore you could stretch a ski to 2 years if you really wanted to.

Might be in the wrong here but On3p is doing durability very well, fat ass edges and super durable and tough material. That's why they can charge so much for there skis because they'll hold up and keep you going for a while. The Line Blend should not charge $600 for a fucking peice of paper, i mean great ski but good lucking getting through the weekend and them holding up

I can say with confidence that you will not go through 3 pairs of vishnus in a season

yeah facts lol
yungcurvyeah facts lol
You shouldn't be paying more then 500 for a park ski period, its just to much for such a simple ski that is just gonna get tortured i'm sure faction's profit margins are like $120 for material and building cost and they sell for what $600? Vishnu doesn't charge that and communicates with its customers that's why everybody wants them.
I just think it's hilarious that DPSs are made in the same factory, engineered by the same dude, have extremely similar construction, and cost $1300. Ever since emmet revealed the DPS Vishnu connection I've been looking at people's DPSs at the hill and the sidewalls, bases, topsheets, all are identical to Vishnus.

DUDE SAME , my frankenskis lasted me from November to February ... not happy with Moment at all
I think the Atomic Bent Chets X Grateful Dead combo is the most hyped ski rn. Or next years volkl revolt 121. I cannot open instagram without seeing an ad for one of these skis
still to this day ive never seen a pair of vishnus in person
do they even sell them anywhere in california or nevada?
tahoearmada20still to this day ive never seen a pair of vishnus in persondo they even sell them anywhere in california or nevada?
I saw one dude at killington with them, only pair I've ever seen in person. I'm definitely gonna grab a pair
anybody catch the new topsheet designs? I know they were on vishnu’s insta the other day but I didnt get to see.
as soon as they put salomon, rossi, and everyone else out of business, they're gonna jack their prices up! $1000 a pair!
BJ2112anybody catch the new topsheet designs? I know they were on vishnu’s insta the other day but I didnt get to see.
yeah they're looking pretty mint, but I think they take a bunch of photos and boil them down to the best ones to make into topsheets

I saw your for sale post, those skis are so far from dead. 3 edge cracks is no reason to stop skiing a park ski.

3 edge cracks with water leaking in and the edge starting to pull out ..... I would argue they were at the end of its life... I never rock a ski with no edges underfoot

You ever hear of epoxy?
zaching11Yes sir
Epoxy those holes feel missing edge and you’ll see much longer life out of your skis. I’ve been using this stuff called West Systems G-Flex lately, and pretty much I can ski like 10-15 hard days on rails before I have to refill the gap with the epoxy. Highly recommended it. My skis got some missing edge and bunch of edge cracks but I filed the edge cracks way down and threw epoxy around that Johnny and the edge crack don’t go anywhere. In other words my skis are beat up a little but they still run like tanks.
Damn what a thread. One of the founding values of this company is to have a park ski under $500, so we are gonna keep it that way. In the future of course we may have more expensive models etc but a sub $500 park ski is definitely the cornerstone of the brand

Really? Retiring a park ski after 3 edge cracks damn im surprised you get more than a week out of a pair of skis. Unless you are skiing ice all the time you dont need edges in the park especially on warm days.

go to mount snow its a vishnu cult there

Very good to hear that!
Dyllxni wish thety would make a smaller size though
Bro honestly the 177 feels like a 168, i have a pair of moment franks and there 168, I also own 183 wets and they almost dont feel bigger

3 edge cracks and a core shot that were all epoxied , didn’t do anything for the edge cracks as they were all still starting to pull out ... and yes , I do ski Ice all the time (NH mountains) so that’s that. No such things as warm days on the east coast unless it’s April

The Ice Coast struggle is real my friend, won't get better anytime soon I gotta bring ice climbing gear to hike a rail.
zaching11No such things as warm days on the east coast unless it’s April
except for when it dumps rain in January lol
I hope It'll stay the same, because it is indeed a very good pricepoint for the durability and quality of the skis. If only they made the wets in my size.....
+++ Oranges with the orange/yellow pivots would look hella good

I still think its ridiculous to retire a pair of park skis just because some edge cracks and a coreshot. Ive had edges that looked like those last the rest of the season. My current skis have a giant hole in between the sidewall and the base where the edge used to be, the base is peeling away but ya just fill it with GFlex every now and then. They were at the point yours are at 3 seasons ago but i guess i like getting my moneys worth out of a pair of skis.
