I’ve got 86s, they’ve held up great you shouldn’t have to worry too much about them falling apart. Mine have been super durable no chips or delam just top sheet scratches, just make sure you detune before getting in the park
Take a metal file and file down edges only under the bindings. But know that skiing park ruins skis, dont be surprised if you need new skis after a season.
Reiterating the importance of detuning edges before sliding rails. Catching an edge can hurt you and cause an edge crack
Other than that you should be good for a while as long as nothing weird happens. I’ve had armadas for my last 6 pairs of park skis and they usually last about a year of hard skiing before they start to seriously delam / edge crack
Try to keep all the damage on the bottom of your skis becuase you can wax it later
There's a one question that bothers me. I have sharp edges on tips and tails for good all mountain skiing and detuned under the boot section for safe rail sliding. But what about butters? Does edge sharpness matter in this case? Should I extend detune till ends of the ski? When I try to do nose butter, I have a feeling that I'm going catch an edge.
it might be scary but if your actually in the park most of the time detune those bois

I wouldn’t detune the tips of your ski. Just have confidence in your skis and ability and stay on your uphill edge like you should when buttering so you don’t catch on anything.

Depends how much your going to ski park and what you do in the park but definitely de tune your edges it will make learning rails easier.
Thanks for the help everyone. next year when i get some cash im gonna buy a pair of beater skis for rails and such
Don’t forget to eat lots of ass. Ass is a critical part of a park rat’s diet.

I literally detuned my new skis by skiing regular runs, then i took em in the park and they slid rails fine. That's the OG way
damn so i detuned my skis with a file and every file stroke was killing my fuckin soul

When I do mine I use sand paper or just use them and after about 10 rails their pretty good

Is there a noticeable difference in all-mountain performance when you detune your edges(Only under the boot-area)?
Dry your skis afterwards to keep the edges from rusting

I only noticed a difference when on ice or super hard pack
