Aight so I've been trying to quit smoking for the past year but cant seem to just go cold turkey and do it. I talked to some people and they say go to the Juul or sourin or Zyn. Does anyone have any tips on how to ease smoking or stop.
I am going to assume you mean cigarettes. These literally taste and smell like ass. So once you are off for a while and hit that shit you realize how fucked up it is.
The biggest thing for quitting is you need a solid reason to quit. Yeah health is something to look at, but if that was a major factor you probably wouldn't have started. I am looking at doing some major AT/BC summating some major mountains in my near future. So I need my lungs for that.
Just buy a vape. You look like an idiot so you will want to quit sooner. When you are tasting bubblegum flavored nic and taste a cig ... it makes the choice easier

I quit 2 months ago and plan to stay off the butt forever.
Touring is seriously a great way to quit for some interesting reasons. Smoking after a 4 hr tour hurts the lungs. After hacking a lung and not feeling anything from it, you wont even pick it up anymore. Then, when you are down to 1-2 a day; the taste will turn you off from smoking.
My cardio is now at top performance. I tour for 8hrs and more and can clear more terrain, faster since I quit. Even a competition went so much better went I wasnt coughing all the time.

Feel that shit, I had a hard time just shoveling the walk the other day. I hear the first days are the worst so im gonna give it a go. If i need to Ill prob grab a sourin
Try vaping, or take up to smoking weed. Ive quit ciggarettes with smoking even more cannabis. Vape CBD or any e-juice with low nic content like 3mg then wean off that.

I agree with that I just started smoking weed a bit and I think it has helped a little bit.

switching from cigs to weed is just a lateral move. u r still inhaling smoke and carcinogenic fumes
Lot people inculding myself have quit smoking ciggarettes through vaping. Ive done lot of various drugs during my younger years- I still say ciggarettes is one of most addictive substance out there which makes it such a bitch to quit. People smoking it around you, seeing packs at gas stores etc. I know exactly how you feel.

The beauty of my method is you are allowed to smoke. Hiking and feeling a drag? do it! The harder you hike, the more painful smoking becomes. Once the association between cigarettes and pain has been established, your smoking rate drops. The added advantage is you can do this in 2-3 months if your are skiing hard 5-6 days a week.
I do recommend switching to bud to quell the craving on the down time. Some nights can be hard; I smoked a lot of weed. Then after a few weeks, I stopped the butt at night all together.
Just a heads up: as you ween off the butt for the first month, you will feel weaker than usual. Dont worry, just push through the pain. After a month, cardio picks up and you may come out stronger.
You can do this man! The feeling of being the cardio on legs is downright amazing!
Just quit. A bunch of people switch to a vape to quit, and then go back to cigs on the reg or occasionally, or just stay addicted to the vape forever.
Just fucking quit. If you want to do it it's not that hard. It's helpful to not drink or hang out with friends who chainsmoke for a while. At least get a couple days without smoking. If you want a cig don't. A lot of people find snacks, candy, etc helpful. It doesn't take that long for the physical cravings to go down. After that it's just getting used to the fact that you no longer smoke, and saying no to cigs. Sometimes setting goals and then doing something nice for yourself can help(you're also saving some money) Maybe grab a nice dinner or buy yourself something. Exercise and staying busy in general can help.
Also these days, less people are smoking, it's less accepted, can't smoke a lot of spots.
If you really want to quit just quit. Or grab a juul etc, and get addicted af to that while telling yourself how you worked so hard to break your smoking habit.
If you post on facebook about how you quit smoking 10 minutes ago trolling for likes and "YEah awesome! Way to go" I'll fucking find you beat you senseless with a giant sac of tobacco. Sorry, I can't stand the people that post the "Quit smoking yesterday!!!!!" like bitch, post when it's been at least a week maybe. Because 90% of the time their back smoking within 3 days or at least the next week. Trolling for praise without actually doing anything is lame.
Good luck though. You can def do it. Basically comes down to whether you want to or not. You don't have to be special to quit, have some magic powers, or some crazy medicine to help you. Don't buy cigs, don't smoke cigs, continue....
Don't start vaping, any of my friends that went that route are more hooked on nicotine now than they ever were smoking cigarettes. Either quit the old fashion way or stick with it and get cancer like an adult
niccorett gum fr its tastes like shit but it helps. and drink water
My uncle was addicted to cigs, he tryied this electric treatment were you put a plugged toaster in the bath with you. He’s not addicted anymore, shit works

Vaping is a bad route to go. The nicotine doesn't last long enough so you end up hitting that vape often. Then you're addicted to the vape. Sure you don't smell like shit anymore but that still doesn't solve the health problems associated with nicotine.
1st option: patch + gum (for your breakthrough cravings). **If you're gonna complain about cost, consider the cost of a pack of cigs x 1 a day for a year (>$2k)
2nd option: if you have any health insurance, most will cover 100% cost of Chantix and smoking cessation programs. From the people I've talked to, they're quite effective.
Coochieman7Just huff some more paint OP
I sell that shit at Home Depot its literally a fucking controlled substance now lmao

Haters gonna always be hating :)
Dylan_Driving a Subaru, how stereotypical.
AstroKushHaters gonna always be hating :)
It's a Subaru.. I had one when I was 16- Far from hating just stating facts. Eventually you will grow up and realize I spoke the truth in 2019.
Lol it's my 3rd Subaru Ive owned in almost 25 years from GL wagon to Legacy to Foz, like I said haters will always find a little something to keep hatin'. Sorry you're having a shitty day and you had to feel this way, dude.
That funny, I just bought the same forester 2 weeks ago.
But we are going off topic here a bit

So the vape is more necessary than I originally thought. Bigggggggg Subaru guy.

Quit cold turkey man, takes will power. Anyone who quit for good most likely did it like that. I never smoked ciggs but i smoked like 10 bongs a day for years and decided I was done and that was that. If you crutch yourself you prob won't last, fck vapes fck all that shit just quit cold turkey.
Cold turkey, don't vape. Vaping is cringey af.
Update im addicted to Zyn now. Last cig was july
IHUFFPAINTUpdate im addicted to Zyn now. Last cig was july
Lol that was poor planning. I wonder if using nicotine gum will be easier now since it's a similar delivery system to this Zyn you speak of
IHUFFPAINTUpdate im addicted to Zyn now. Last cig was july
Zyns are a good change for me. Lungs are much healthier. Cutting down on their usage now.
I like them because all the nicotine runs out in like 40 minutes, but I can leave them in for like 3 hours and get the physical sensation without the nic.
I'm cutting down to 3mgs end of this week then I'm donezo
Had to revive this thread because I’m currently trying to end my nicotine addiction for good. I got hooked on Juul and then switched to zyn and was able to limit my usage. Now I can go a day or so with out but always seek out friends for a rip. How do I take the last step to totally rid myself of this evil
@Ankilla helped me stop smoking. He just told me every time you want to smoke a cigarette eat an entire watermelon. The chemicals in watermelon have the exact same chemical structure of nicotine.

I've been on patches and zyn before also tried vaping. Zyn and vapes make it way harder to quit. Patches don't make it super easy but it definitely makes it a bit easier but honestly the best way is cold turkey, the patches fucked with my dreams and shit and left gnarly marks all over my arm
