gilleboImpossible! Every videos was so sick
this
Mango had some absolutely insane combos. Super creative tricks.
My top was Jake and 2nd was ABM, not really sure about the others
That torque slide in ABM's tho
Yeah I’m gonna need a few more watches before I cast my oh-so-valuable vote haha
They were all insane. I love where street skiing is right now
At first I thought Casabon and Mango were gonna take gold and/or favorite, but then I watched ABM's part. And now, I have no idea.
Immaterial who's on the podium at this point. Everybody in it is an instant legend with memorable, unique tricks. One thing standing out for me was the similarites this year despite the disparate styles-everyone had a variation of spin/grab on a rail, wallride variation, buttering on to features, most had an invert with a sketchy/ unusual take-off, and most had a gap-tap.
I think Phil remains ahead of the field in most respects.
-the podium will be between ABM, Phil and Peyben

At first I thought ABM had it, but after rewatching Mango's part it's gonna be close between those two. And I'd put B-Dog in 3rd.
I don't know what ABM had for breakfast during those weeks filming but he had 16 clips in there, that's fucked up
ABMs was one of the most technical urban segs I've seen. Mango's closer was outrageous as was that tips over three thing that Peyban had. Definitely going to have to watch this a few more times.
lol what the fuck, like how do i even vote at this point when those were all that insane.
Crazy good. My top three:
1. ABM - Had everything from super creative to tech (4 pretz 2, sw 4 both ways) to super heavy
2. Mango
3. Henrik or Phil
fucking insane... gotta watch these a lot more with the homies later, cant pick a top 3 yet
I think it’s gonna be a competition of style and creativity vs technicality. All ABMs tricks were insanely technical where mangos were creative and innovative. I think it’s a toss up between those two.
Mango’s nosebutter/press backflip came out of nowhere. Def shows his creativity. However, I thought ABM killed it and is gonna be taking my vote
CadenmcculloughI think it’s gonna be a competition of style and creativity vs technicality. All ABMs tricks were insanely technical where mangos were creative and innovative. I think it’s a toss up between those two.
I think ABM is super creative and innovative, all those one footers with grabs and the royales or whatever theyre called are pretty unique. You don't have to be a swervy boi to be creative
they were all so great but I really enjoyed kimbos and the whole vibe of it, just really like his style of skiing
I sat down and ranked them on feature size, creativity, tech, stomp factor, and overall impression. Then I added the rankings to get a more rounded ranking. That said it's definitely not a fair system of judging but here's what it spat out:
1. Phil Casabon
2. ABM
3. Peyben
4. Mango
5. Henrik Harlaut
6. Kim Boberg
And I feel like an asshole putting Kim in last because he doesn't deserve that.
ABM had by far the most tech one. All were so dam good tho
Random thought, but anyone else think Alex Bellmare would kill a real ski edit?
ABM is my vote but it's so damn close. Also I think henrik kind of gets snubbed a bit because he wins so much and his segment was amazing this year too
All of the videos were insane, Peyben's wasn't my taste but I respect the technical ski control and "holy shit" factor, but Kimbo's handplant slide on the hammer feature had me feeling some type of way.
My order would be Kimbo, BDog, ABM.
Henrik's was nuts and I can't believe I don't have him on the podium but this year the margins are thinner than a razor blade.
is it just me or did Henrik have the worst one
I think it's between Jake and Payben for me. ABM's was dope, but I felt like he kept doing the same backslide-grab on different features a bit too much for me. Jake and Payben mixed it up a bit more. Phil and Henrik were both amazing, but nothing stood out as "new" for me from them -- I guess this is the downside to being ahead of the curve for so long, eventually, it catches up. Just my opinion though.
420ganjamanis it just me or did Henrik have the worst one
I kinda felt that too. My opinion for best goes to mango. Phil was also really good.
1. Mango
2. Phil
3. ABM
4. Peyben
5. Kim
6. Henrik (arh arh)
ABM did the biggest tricks but I liked Mango and Peyben the most.
ABM's was hella technical it was an insane watch, Mango's was so sick too but to be fair the level was so high from all of them, gonna have to watch many more times to work out who the hell to vote for...
I'm saying Jake , ABM and Kimbo in any order
All of kimbos tricks werent super tech, but just fukin BIG like those rails were long as fuck
I had to cast my vote to ABM for technical tricks and sheer amplitude, the step up over the bleachers was nuts. You can tell his skiing just has that intensity from the old Stept days.
We're all so desensitized to henriks insanity at this point, it's impossible to watch any of his stuff and not compare it to what he's done in the past

the ender wooden rail with the metal barriers to jump over might be one of the sketchiest things I've ever seen
You can vote once a day until polls close so looks like I'll be going back and forth on voting ABM and Mango

ABM's backside full torque on the rainbow feature was nuts
Dollo needs some love for that 2 on to one of the longest rails I've ever seen
ABM or Mistah Mango for sure. Abm for the disgusting amount of urban air, mango because he did shit I've never seen before (nose press/nollie backie from flat?! Wtf!!!)
The referenced post has been removed.
strongly agree

When every part is this good, I don't think there is "worst" one. Just a matter of which one stands out a bit more than the others.
For me it's such a toss up between Mango and ABM, each had such a high level of technicality with tricks with their own style it is super hard to put one above the other. I hope there is going to be some behind the scenes stuff with the judges discussing everything, that would be super cool to listen in on.
Had me shouting at my screen for 10 minutes straight. Best of luck to the judges and can't wait for the post-announcement debates aha.
Anyone else feel like henriks was off? Just didn't seem like this was his, like someone else was calling the shots. Maybe unpopular opinion but kind of disapointed I was soo stoked to see some crazy shit from him.
ABM's vibe felt off to me, I get that he threw down some bangers but something about the whole video just really didnt do it for me. Love Mangos offering, looked like he was just out there having a good time and I truly didnt know that nollie backflips were possible so there's that. Peyben also killed it, his air awareness is unreal and that shot where he flexes into the fence might be my favorite shot of the comp

In the description it said he was filming Real Ski while doing the comp circuit at the same time. My guess is he probably did not have the time to scope creative spots and probably had to tone it down a little to not risk getting injured.

I mean some of the shots were literally rails around the mountain he was skiing at that day. It's pretty obvious he didn't get to devote all his time to the part as he has in years past.
Personally this year I felt like alot of people caught up to the usual big dogs (As in Henrik and Phil).
I'd rank em
1) ABM
2) Peyben
3) Jake
4) Phil
5) Henrik
6) Kimbo
1) ABM just had too many shots that left me like WTF
2) Peyben had a great combo of creativity and filming
3) I personally think Mango prolly had some better tricks then Peyben but the filming wasn't that interesting in his part
4) Phil had the best spot selection and went huge but lacked the wow factor of the other parts
5) Henriks felt rushed but some of the shots were just massive
6) Kimbo had a good part. But good doesn't get you very far when the competition is this crazy

This.
It’s like pizza. Some is better than others but there isn’t any bad pizza at the end of the day.
His 3 swap gap on the dfd was insane.
Phil
Mango
ABM
Phil is a serious genius it was flawless. The features he is skiing shouldn't even be looked at as skiable. Also, nose butter 7 into a pillow line!? Yo Sammy sick 3 into pillows bro but an urban skier just played you
Mango. Never even heard of him but my god. Physics was defied and executed with ease. Little nutty swag but kids got a bag of tricks I tell ya .
ABM was cool, but skiing is rollerblading if you guys are all jumping on his dick for that .It was cool he killed it but meh.
Shit was fucked. People were crushing!
