this week we are going out to revelstoke. I’m sure at least one person on this site has been there. Any secrets that I need to know? Any places on the mountain to avoid? Any good bars and apres areas around the mtn?

Straight tuck down the entire last spike and at the bottom you will be rewarded with unlimited norwegian females, alcohol and gold dubloons
You literally can't go wrong just exploring with your buds the whole day TBH! So many good spots.

North Bowl and Separate Reality Bowl are really dope spots, especially with some fresh snow. If you are feeling adventurous there is always some good spots that can be found if you wander outside of the resort... if that's your thing. The whole mountain is a blast honestly.

Thanks for the input! We actually got a guide for yesterday and today so we explored most of the mtn. But tomorrow I’ll definitely go higher into north bowl
I like Greeley bowl, usually some fresh snow in there and windlips, little drops to play on. There's some fun skiing off vertigo ridge in the trees too.
Sorry for the late reply. but conditions are pretty awful right now. anyone considered coming here should stay south in the Okanagan or Kootenays.
Mid - January and looking ahead to Mid March. In that time frame we've had one big dump of snow... beyond that it's been maybe 4-8cm a week. flurries, cold, sun and wind... but the trend is starting to shift to warmer / milder weather by late next week... still no chance of snow until possibly next week though. But coverage is bad, there are a lot of hazards showing, and snow conditions are very firm.
Meanwhile Big white got hit with 85 cm in the past week... problem with RMR is it sits in a snow shadow... further enhanced by this persistent polar wall. Systems from the NW break on the Monashees. Systems from the south break on the monashees and southern selkirks. The mountains adjacent to Revelstoke get around 40% + more snow on average than the ski resort does. We are entirely dependent on systems that come from the west or south west, which hasn't been happening.
Judging by historic trends this seems to happen every 4-5 years where mid season gives us nothing. Strong start and finish though on those years.
