Going on family trip to steamboat at the beginning of January. Obviously gonna have to ski with my mom and sister for a bit but when my dad and I can escape what are some zones we should check out? Mostly looking for good steeps, tight trees, and some cliffs.
Ah where to start,
If you're looking for Steeps+Tight Trees the Chutes and Christmas Tree Bowl are a good move
Keep going further and No Name/St. Pats is Steep and Tight as well
Under Morningside is fun to lap a little bit with a lot of snow
Storm Peak has a little bit of steep as well.
Steamboat requires a little effort if you're looking for some difficult shit but it does exist forsure.

Hike-to laps are probably your best bet, East Face also has a handful of solid cliffs. Check out Pony Express too. And some of the trees off of Sundown get pretty tight.
I know you didn’t ask, but my last trip there I found the park super easy to spin quick laps on.
