Since a few weeks before this season, I've had terrible pain below my knee AP (Osgood Schlatters). If I ski for a day, it'll get worse and worse. I stayed off it for a few weeks, and now it's painful after just a few hours in the park. Does anyone have advice??
Hey Carson,
I have OS as well. First thing though: how old are you? Mine was really bad (playing basketball & skiing) when I was 12 until about 17-18 years old. There'd be times in a basketball game I had to hop off the court on one leg because I physically couldn't bear any weight on the knee it was so bad or skiing I just had to go home. It really sucked.
Once I was done growing, the pain basically stopped. Here and there I'll have days where I'm sore but nothing like when I was younger.

I'm 17 and I just started having issues after some heavy squats a few weeks ago. At this point it's probably my going to really affect my ski season, so I am trying to heal as fast as possible.
I found that this knee strap was very helpful. Constant pressure on my knee where the bump used to be helped ease the pain.

This. Also, I didnt have OS specifically, but grew about a foot in a year and a half around sophomore and junior year of HS. I'd ice my knees pretty much every chance I was home and not doing anything. Seemed to help and I could deff noticed when I hadnt iced in a while
I thought this was going to be a thread about some dope underground skier.
I’ve had it for the past four years and the straps definitely help but just take some ibuprofen and ice it all the time. It really sucks i feel for ya
I used to have it, It went away after some time. I remember being on the chairlift and not being able to lift my ski up at all. It's terrible im sorry u jus gotta fight it and keep sending it despite the pain.

You def want to get these. I had OS until I was 21-22 and they REALLY helped to repress it. Cheap option is to take a good bit of prewrap and roll it up snug under your knee.
I clicked on this thinking Osgood schlatters was a person.

Illest duo of all-time. The B&E of surgeons.
"The condition is named after Robert Bayley Osgood (1873–1956), an American orthopedic surgeon, and Carl B. Schlatter (1864–1934), a Swiss surgeon, who described the condition independently in 1903."
My brother has it who's a couple years younger than me and it's shitty. some days he'll only be able to ride till lunch and then quit cause his legs hurt to bad. If any one has some ground breaking solutions I'd love to hear them.
