Yo! So I pitched the idea to film an experimental ski film for my film class. I already have an idea of some shots I’d like to get, but I want to know if there’s any ideas burning in your heads of some experimental film idea you haven’t seen before, but would like to see. I’m very open to new ideas, so shout em out!
Documentary about the cult of Swervy skiing
try a small scene/ sequence of slow motion match cuts that are just mid trick, if that makes any sense

Do you mean multiple shots of different tricks in the same setting?

don't need to be the same setting, but might help if it's similar.
what I mean is you keep the subject at the same spot in the frame, have maybe 10 clips to choose from, and then use 5-10 clips in the edit. not sure what sort of screen time each clip should have. could be anywhere from 15 frames to 4 seconds.
you could also try filming the same trick, locked off on a tripod at different times of the day. and then filtering through in the edit.
ex: lip blind 2
shoot early, mid day, sunset, and night
starts as morning, as the skier pops it match cuts to mid day, switches to sunset as the 2 is popped, switches to night as the skier lands.
this could be cool if the skier can be really consistent with their positioning and timing.

I really dig your idea of timing a trick throughout the day! That’s goin on my bucket list for sure!!
