Coming up to the season here soon i’m look at the ARV 96s but i’m a little worried about the 96mm waist on them being too much due to mostly riding 90-86. has anyone ridden these ARVs before that could tell me what they thought of em???? btw im in the park most of the time
Where do you ski? Out west they're considered narrow.

east coast PA
I don't ski park and as an all mountain jib ski in Tahoe they're great. The only fault I found with them was high speed chatter on what passes for seriously icey shit out here but you probably just call it hardpack on the east coast. It's a fun easy ski.
I've been skiing on them for the past 2 ski seasons and it has been my favorite ski I have ever purchased. They have the perfect balance of flex and stiffness which for a east coast skier is something you would want cause you need a ski to be able to get through the ice. I think I was in the same boat as you with smaller waists and I chose these skis thinking they were gonna be too wide but they absolutely shred at the 96 waist and I don't think I'll ever go back to a smaller waist after these skis.

I haven't noticed it in the park
96 is definitely a total non-issue, it's the narrowest waist ive used on a ski in years. but since youre in PA it might be worth considering that you don't even really need 90s waist for much soft snow, so you might want to do something in the 80s for better hard snow performance. but no, 90s waist is no issue at all so don't be scared off by that for no reason
