Ok. So let's say you have a bathtub that you can lie down with just your head sticking out. Let's say a friend of yours fills the tub up with the proper amount of jello mix And you remain perfectly still. After 12 hours or so, the jello sets. Would you be able to stand up? Or would you be stuck? Serious answers only, this is a serious question.
Yeah I think you'd get out pretty easily. But that's just a hunch. You could get stuck there, especially if it's a deep tub. Somebody should test it out
the jello wouldn't have a strong enough bond to hold you in there. The only way i can see you getting stuck is if u do it standing up (possibly in one of those tall showers?). Then, and only then, would you not be able to get out due to the lack of momentum required to jump that high, and the jello's poor bonding capabilities preventing you from placing your hands on top. Then again you could just open the door so theres that.
Where are the mythbusters when you need therm.
Well for starters you need to mix boiling water so unless you can stand the heat might not work. Then you would need to get it cold for a very long time.... Also not easy. Lets say you fallow the Jigglers recipe for harder jello. First you would need all boiling water. Mix till its resolved then on ice for at least 10 hrs. Not too sure how you could do this but hell I'm down. Lets give it a shot.
How is this not a stupid youtube challenge yet
Let's all chip in for some plexiglass and jello packets and get OP in the jello.
By my calculations if we do a 1m x 1m x 2m plexiglass glass box, that equates to 2,000,000 cubic centimeters. A cubic centimeter is 1mL of jello. There's 29.6mL in an ounce. This gives us 67,568 ounces in the plexiglass box to fill. A 6 ounce large jello packet makes 32 ounces of jello. Therefore we will need 2,112 six ounce jello packets. They're usually on sale for around $1 per pack so we would need roughly $2260 (including 7% sales tax) for the jello, and then someone to donate the plexiglass glass, screw it all together and fill the seams with silicone or something. All in all less than $2500 bucks and we can do it.
Let's get on this fellas! Who's starting the GoFundMe?
My landlord and all the other tenants in my complex might wonder what I was doing on the lawn

provided the hot tub remains off, you shouldnt be able to stand up for about 5 mins i guess. ever heard of pins and needles?
It all depends on how cohesive jello is

Jello is pretty heavy. It’d probably be like having a 100 lb weight in your chest
Even sombody dumping jello on you would be tough to get out. If it legit bonded around you i think you be pretty fucking stuck. Jello isnt light.
But somebody should do this because why not.
Make it more of a challenge and lace that shit with Elmer's glue
if you get stuck just start eating yourself out
Wouldn't it just plug your mouth like in an avalanche?
Minggif you get stuck just start eating yourself out

You wouldn’t have to be in the water/jello mix while it boils, you just need to be in when it starts to cool/bond. But as you said, placing a tub full of jello in a cold enough place is the challenge.
I guess you’ll have to put a tub full of boiling water in a walk in refrigerator, mix in the jello, put on your ski gear (it’s cold in the walk in), then hop in the jello and wait.
We could probably get Jell-O to sponsor this, and maybe we can get some outerwear brand to sponsor as well go keep you warm in the walk in?
I know at least one of your guys' dad has 5 mil and could sponsor us

The real question is, if you filled a pool full of jello and threw a mattress in it, would you need a crane to get it out?

if it were water, yes.
mattresses have too much surface area to sink in jello unfortunately.

What if you put the mattress in the pool before the jello solidified?
Honestly, it would be like standing up with a few blankets on. Piece of cake. Jello isn't some sort of putty or epoxy or crazy heavy material. If you take jello and try to mash it with a spoon, it would just "shatter" for lack of a better term. Seems like getting out of it would require similar force, especially if you had some thing to leverage off of like a bathtub.

But if your arms are entrenched in the jello also you'd need to get them free to use them to push off

brilliant.
So since we're upping the ante. Who has a swimming pool they can fill with jello?

IF you just pull them out instead of lifting them it should be pretty easy, right?
