Does using Rollerblades to practice rail tricks help?

Yes you should get a pair. Rollerblading will definitely help. My jump game is trash (I can only straight air) but I could hit pretty much any rails on my first season with twin tips after skating for 5 years.
But please do not just skate "to ski". There's so much more in skating than just abusing backside to frontside (aka swaps in skiing). You can have so much more fun and do so many tricks on a rail with skates. Just treat it as a discipline in itself, you'll def gonna have fun (and bruised shins).
I don’t blade (inkline)
but you get a lot of good skills out of it.
Landing supper proper, doing tricks in motion.etc something to do have fun !
My blading skills never translated on snow, for some reason... It is still two different sports even if they do have similarities (although a lot of people won't accept this fact), but blading is fun and you should do fun stuff during the summer!
It's a lot harder to roller blade in the backseat

Very hard to do a solid 3 japan
gucciman7Very hard to do a solid 3 japan
I can do solid 3 japans on skis
aggressive inline is stupid fun. there are definitely differences between it and skiing but its as close to skiing on concrete as you can get. way more options on rails and ledges, but jumping can be a little sketch. you have to relearn how to ride fakie too but it will make your fakie stance on skis one million times better.
check out Razorz cults, super dope complete skate for basically the best price on the market. hard shell boot, feels like a really soft ski boot.
Them skates look dope but theyre gonna be expensive and they dont have a lot of size options
K2 actually makes some good aggressive inlines but theyre ugly
Its so much fun and it can really help with style. I recommend razors with ground control frames, stay away from kiezer frames they are complete trash.
Is the question of "what blades should I get" the same as for ski boots? Idk anyone that goes to a boot fitter for blades and I guess they are generally much softer than ski boots, but there has to be some kind of fit guide out there.
People who blade have the best switch landings and style as far as I can see. Khai Kreppela, Kaya Turski, and Hanka come to mind
Rollerblades help rail tricks big time. You HAVE to land square on rails. You literally have wheels on all the other parts of your foot so if you can't land center you get bucked every time. Cross training to become better at park is pretty fucking big because you can't ski year round. I honestly think tricks is much more of a mental game than physical.

honestly not really. some boots are just plain old shitty fit for everyone (a lot of Rollerblade boots come to mind), but most are pretty solid.
i NEED a 103+ last in ski boots, but i fit really comfortably into most Razors boots, which most people say are relatively narrow. i havent tried a lot of boots on but my general feeling about them is the soft flex and really forgiving liners make picking a wheelie shoe a lot easier than a ski boot
a lot of blades come in mondo sizes too. if you know that then just get the same length and it'll probs work
I picked up aggressive inline skating about two months ago. On skis, I used to be unable to 270 onto a rail or hit a rail switch. I believe aggressive inline improved me in that way, because after learning this on skates, personally for me, it does and so far has translated to my skiing as I can now do that on my skis. Differs person to person. You might get a few funny looks, but surprisingly it is incredibly fun.

Good to know as I had to have my "extra wide" dalbello lupo AX's widened due to bone spurs caused by narrow boots.
Idk if its going to make you the best ever but it helps. A lot of good snowboarders are pretty good skaters.
For blades I know Zahner does or at least used to.
Hanka skates and I’m pretty sure Khai does or used to. Explains a lot when you beck out their styles.
Been meaning to get some for ages but haven’t found the £££ yet
