Okay, my old Booters are beat to shit and I need a new pair of boots for next season. FT's new touring boot caught my attention because I wanted a pintech/walk mode boot and needed a 102mm last for my wide ass foot. Also the 10 flex tongue seems perfect since I find the 8 to be a bit too soft. Has anyone seen/ridden it yet? Is it worth holding out for? My Booters are the only boot so far that has fit my feet perfectly and I don't think the new boot is going to be too much different. Also, you can remove the grip-walk soles and replace them with normal shit right? (dumb question, I know) Also, any details or articles on the new boot would be super helpful as I haven't really found anything yet.
Idk why everyone loves FTs so much. I think there garbage, 10 ply bud. Research some other boots

Didn’t ask for that bud, just asked for info on the boot. If you have any info saying the new Ascendant is trash tho, please, I’d love to hear it!

Really? What makes you say that? Is it because they don’t fit your feet?
I’ve ridden Dalbellos, Full Tilts and Atomics and I gotta say they are all about equal build wise but the FTs tongue is dope as hell. They also can take a beating, especially the buckles.
I've had two pair in my life, it was also many years ago. They felt cheap and Wal-Mart like. Very soft flex and buckles that easily broke. I hope they've gotten better now a days. Also looking back it's kinda silly making boots that look like basketball shoes and work boots or whatever don't you think?
I've been rocking some technicas the past few years and am happy, they're uncomfortable as all hell but perform perfect for me. Could always go stiffer.

This makes almost no sense, unless you're racing and they're shaving 100ths off your times. Get some comfy boots man!
Yeah, I have four days in them. Review coming ASAP.
It's much better than I expected.

You can change the tongues to make them stiffer. I’m 5’11” 180lbs and the #10 tongue on my Morrison’s is plenty stiff in my opinion. I’m actually considering getting a #8 tongue for park.
Also I’m into streetwear, sneaker culture, and hip-hop so I’m a sucker for those weird models like you mentioned. I probably wouldn’t buy them myself but I totally get it.

Thanks Cy! I’ll be on the lookout for that.

Thanks Cy, great write up!
ZypherSick write-up Cy! $900 MSRP tho... damn.
Thanks!
Yeah, $150 more than the inbounds version. IDK, I may try to follow up and see why that is. Seems like it's not terribly out of line with its competitors, but it's still a stretch. Boot prices in general are pretty obscene. It's just SO expensive to make molds, and R&D on boots is crazy expensive, and as far as I can tell, that cost tends to get bundled into the MSRP.

I mean luckily no one sells things at MSRP. The MAP won't be nearly that high.
