So I was wondering if there is any way you can get better at skiing without actually skiing. I don’t have close access to a decent hill so I can ski only like once every three weeks. So any ideas or tips are appreciated. Thanks!
Unfortunately, it’s the middle of winter here. But thanks for the suggestion!
Trampoline for air awareness
Set up some PVC tubes in your backyard to practice rails
Skateboard/rollerblade in the summertime
Yeah, I have a trampoline and I rollerblade. I’m gonna try the pvc pipe for grinding. Thanks!
This isn't a practicing idea, more a training one but I've been using a balance board to do air squats. Also if you can hold a squat on a balance board it should help your legs get stronger and the stabiliser muscles get better. Won't get you doing dubs any time soon but will mean you're not spent after 3 laps and also helps prevent injury. Yoga/stretching is also great for preventing injury too.
work out
run
play other sports
eat well
do balance exercises
blaze and play skate3
watch a lot of ski movies (im serious about this one though. watch lots of different, good skiers)
Build a summer set up with astro turf or hit up your local ice rink to get snow
