Would definitely be pretty sick to play something on Xbox or PS4 that incorporated slopestyle, big air, Half pipe, similar to Skate but for skiing
wow this has mad potential, shocked nobody has ever remotely thought about/brought this up before
Actually there's a game called SNOW, that's free on PC, and 15 euros on ps4, open world, but has events. More realistic than steep and shredsauce with a park focus, it has real maps like b&e inv. And x games, and some mountains are huge. Game also has snowboarding tho...

Stay away from snow.
Yo lets do this except add guns to the mix because skiing is lame without violence
LukeTheWaffleWhat's wrong with snow?
Snow is fun and it’s better than Shredsauce in many ways but the devs are dicks for starters.

Better yet, like Tony Hawk pro skater but for skiing. Sorry idk what skate is. I had a PS1....

I've talked to them on discord, they're pretty nice people
I think they should make a skiing gta so u can ski and kill other skiers and take their shit.

Hi there. I'd like to disagree with your statement. I think we're actually pretty nice people, but unfortunately have a job attempting to build a business, which requires making money.

pulling an EA with shitty microtransactions is why people are bitter. I've never got the game, and at this point have no interest in getting it due to your choice in payment structure. Pay once to own the game is so much better than "Free to Play" crippled by microtransactions
Lmao there's still a free map, and a weekly roatating one
icedYo lets do this except add guns to the mix because skiing is lame without violence
finally i can recreate the simon dumont illionaire edit with real guns.
Steep's new DLC is like a mix of SSX and Skate, it has several massive terrain parks and an Olympics slopestyle course, as well as a yuuuuge amount of explorable terrain, but the physics update made riding less realistic and more arcade-like. There's also an explorable little town in Japan (part of the DLC) with a bunch of legit awwwesome urban features. Steep is well on their way to achieving what we want, but their recent push towards SSX-style riding rather than realism is disappointing.

They just following the gaming business, pretty much every game that has been made in the last 2-3 years has microtrasnactions and getting mad at the developers about it is pointless.

Just camp out next to a medium/large jump on a saturday. Drink a few beers and wait. If people kill themselves it saves you the trouble and dealing with a murder charge. The gear is still free. Bonus points if they wake up while you're stealing their shit. Like" Sorry dog, times is tough"

that is true that they are just joining the crowd. I’m not mad at the developers, I’m just pointing out that pricing structures like that aren’t just widely & blindly accepted, and I think a decent amount on NS agree.
This is an extreme example but take a look at battlefront 2 last fall. $60 base + an insane amount of micro transactions or if you go the free route it’s multiple thousands of hours grinding to get that content. People were rightly pissed about that and there was a decent boycott against that game
also I don’t know all the details so somebody correct me if wrong, but aren’t those who originally paid for early access of SNOW stuck back behind another paywall again and basically in the same boat as free to play players? I remember reading something along those lines

Paid for early access as a founder, now get every map for free forever. Pretty happy with that.
You can play the game totally for free, you just don't get all the maps all the time, the available map rotates each weeK I think

what I'd like to remind you is that SNOW is free to download and start playing. Unlike Battlefront or other premium games, you have no way to actually check out the game before you decide to buy it, and then when you do decide to buy it, you have to spend $60 minimum.
With SNOW you can start playing, and play a new mountain each week + Tyro Valley. From leveling up once you get 3 days on Sialia, which is enough time to level up a bunch more and possibly get Credits / Ski Passes to let you check out other mountains. If you then decide that you like the game and want to play more, you only have to spend $1.90 to play a mountain for a month.
This business model is far more flexible and gives you as a player a lot more choice in how you want to spend your money.

Biathlon but they have AR 15s and they shoot their competitors

what was the name of the ski game that kept getting hyped on here? The one they were developing for like 9 years or something, from around 2003 or so. I cant remember the name, can someone help me out? Its driving me crazy.
