It seems like when I try to throw a 180 off a roller or a jump, I end up doing a nose butter. What should I be doing to avoid this? Sorry no video to show exactly what I’m doing.
when you hit a jump you should just spin after you get off the lip or you can try carving it and you'll basically carve into a 180. It also seems like you're nosebuttering because you are just not popping at all so pop more and watch less edollo
Sounds like you're leaning forward and dropping your tips.
Try keeping more neutral stance, keep your head up, don't watch your tips, pop and pull your knees up to your chest to raise your tips, look over your shoulder then your body will follow, then landing gear down and ride away

This, pop more and drag less. Imagine you're tucking into a safety without the grab. Also, you're probably leaning too far forward. When you swivel on flat ground, notice how your weight shifts from driving with the front of your boots to standing somewhat more upright and in the back at a more neutral stance. When landing switch, try and assume this position when you're just touching the ground instead of leaning forward. Im not saying lean backseat here, im saying stay neutral and loose.

This. You are skipping the very basics. Approach, takeoff, maneuver, and landing. You need to work on your takeoff
I'd say "throwing" may be your problem. Be patient and rotate after you pop.
try spinning with your skis/feet last. So do your wind up, crouch down, start your jump up while starting to spin with your arms, head and hips, but keep your skis pointed down hill until they leave the ground from your jump. Once you jump, pull your feet up, like a slight crouch, and then let your skis/feet catch up to the rest of your body. it should almost feel like you are doing a shifty the opposite way you are spinning at take off. Practice on flat ground, not moving as this will force good technique.
I love the seasons of NS.

If u can’t 180 just quit skiing park, tuck ur dick between ur balls grab some spandex and begin ur ski racing career
Don’t turn your upper body. Pop and then do a massive shifty. Swivel at the waist
There two ways to "throw" a 180. Both involve a turning or twisting of some part of your body an both are reliant on a pop.
First, Practice popping on flat ground and focus on making sure that your ski lifts of the snow flat. I.e. All at the same time. A strong pop relies on full use and extension of all your joints: ankles, knees and hips. IN THAT ORDER. There are 3 common problems tht lead to popping off your noses. 1) you are not centered on your skis. Make sure you are stacked, your body is aligned. 2) you are trying to pop from your hips first as opposed to your ankles. This hip thrusting will push your body forward. 3) you are not popping at all but are actually just sucking your legs up or tucking. Make sure you fully extend all your joints. Think of a couple spring exploding upwards.
Once you can pop a solid pop every time you are ready for 180s.
The first method is known as the cat twist and involves turning your lower body while keeping your upper body still. Pop straight up and turn your legs below you. If you pop right you will not have any problems with the 180. This method is good for bigger airs where you want to control the speed of the rotation and don't want to over rotate.
The second method is the upper body set. This involves setting the spin with your shoulders and hips. Timing is key to ensure you don't end up popping off your tails or tips or ending up off axis. Make sure you look up all the time and never down at your feet. This method is good for 180s when you want to grab or if you need to spin really fast I.e off a really small hip or roll.
Key things are:
Stay stacked all the time. Jump off a flat foot.
Pop hard and straight.
Stay centered in your ski.
Look up. Preferably at your landing.
Sorry for the essay. Hope this helps.
