I am an uncreative piece of shit and don't know what I want for Christmas.
Tell me all the things you want for Christmas, Hanukah, Kwanza, Easter, Whatever. So that I can regurgitate that info to my family.
peace and love.

Ugh know the feels. As we get older it’s tough, I asked for ski related things. Needed new gloves, a helmet, and some nice liners. All of the above were so old lol. For fun stuff I asked for cooking and grilling utensils and a new pan bc I’m trying to not eat out as much and that’s something easy my rents are knowledgeable about.
Hmm I think that’s about it. Had them split my ski pass with my for my bday.
I’m capped out on needing new gear this year so I always ask for money to support my yearly out west trip. I’ve always valued experiences heavily over material things. And if I get a gift I want it to be practical. Also maybe ask for something that you wouldn’t ever buy yourself but wouldn’t mind having, like a nice puffy or a nice hoodie. I want some fucking snow to fall for Christmas
Snow.
But for purchasable goods the top of the list would be a Gopro Karma grip for some buttery smooth filming. Stabilized footage looks so much better than shaky hand held filming. I also would like to find some 3/4 length thick polar fleece mid layer pants, but no one seems to make these. It's been -5 with the windchill here and normal base layers are not cutting it.

Not thick fleecy pants, but more than than your standard poly/merino baselayers- might be worth considering for super cold weather?

Oh shit, I need those pants! I was really thinking a thick fleece would be the way to go, but those look like they might be even warmer, thanks for the link. I have been scouring the internet and so far the only thing I've found are these: https://www.backcountry.com/northern-playground-ziplongs-3-4-microfleece-pant-womens?skid=NPG0001-DARGRE-XS&ti=UExQIENhdDpXb21lbidzIEJhc2VsYXllciBCb3R0b21zOjE6NDA6YmMtd29tZW5zLWJhc2VsYXllci1ib3R0b21z and these Marmot toaster capri pants: https://www.marmot.com/wms-toaster-capri/889169216336.html?gclid=CjwKCAiA6qPRBRAkEiwAGw4Sdj0GOV1EFKN_hqGURKHcpDjuh8tCqr9XSj-EXTyrtFN2wX6c51BDShoCI1AQAvD_BwE It's hard to tell how thick the first ones are and the marmot pants are still pretty thin in the lower leg which kind of sucks.
I did stumble across a TGR thread asking about the same thing and the consensus was that you should just buy some full length fleece pants and then cut them to the correct length. I'm worried about fraying or the fleece unraveling but maybe that's not an issue. If anyone finds any other 3/4 length heavyweight pant layers please post them, they seem to be really hard to find.
New cooling racks because I broke mine this year. More cookbooks.
It's about to be zero degrees here and I'm blaming lady gabber for the fact that all the poofy pants that were linked here are completely sold out everywhere (in a reasonable person size range).

hahah dammit! What size do you need? I know Backcountry has more coming into stock for the HH pants, depending on the size!

I need a medium. I'm currently trying to talk with a Backcountry rep to see if or when they'll be getting more in stock. I actually ordered those marmot toaster pants out of desperation since those are still available and I don't recommend them if you are looking for serious warmth. I'm keeping them just cause they are warmer than most of my pant base layers, but they are still really thin/cold around the knees and side of leg like I thought they might be :(
It's supposed to be -13 with the windchill tomorrow, time to wear 3 pairs of pants!

Damn, we're not expecting any more M :(( But it might be worth checking back after Christmas to see if any folks return/exchange, might still be able to snag a pair! The more I look at them, the more I'm convinced I need them
