Does anybody go to Sierra Nevada College? Will be transferring for the next semester (spring 2018) and was looking to meet some people from the area/the school! If anybody has any tips on going to school that's like, 2,000 miles from home too that would be chill too!
Hippy goes to SNC. I'm down at UNR if you wanna shred hmu.
I don't go there, but ski in the area. Lots of great resorts with great parks in the area. Boreal is great with woodward and great park crew.

As cool as boreal is, it shouldn't be your main ski destination. Way too much good terrain.
however, it's pretty affordable to have both a Boreal pass and an epic pass/squaw pass/ or sugar bowl pass.
Get a pass to Sugar Bowl and avoid the hwy 89 traffic. Use skiing as a reward for finishing your school work. Meet friends on the hill. Enjoy yourself. Truckee is rad.
Heyo! SNC reppin! I love living in Incline Village. I am 2 blocks from the beach & 3 minutes from Diamond Peak (Local Pow resort) and within an hour of every resort except Kirkwood. The classes are great and the crowd is small. Not too big of a party school..just rowdy pot smoking kickbacks with the occasional saucer boy. Get in my messages and we can text about it or something. I am in science class right now with Chuck & lemme tell ya he looks just like Einstein.
Down at UNR, come shred with me and profa. Also monday night bowling is one of the greatest new discoveries I've made via a couple peeps I know who go or have gone to SNC.
Sweet guys, thanks for all the help! I should say I'm currently figuring out how im paying for it ( i did get a good fin. aid package) but am poor AF. Cant wait to see a different part of the united states if I can make it happen.

Depending on the package it might be about the same. Sticker price on private schools is big, but they give out big money.
however, Reno is much better. Bar scene, parties, yada yada. Only ~45 min to most of the resorts unless you head down to KWOOD
As I don't really care about talking about my financial situation Ill say that they gave me $31,000 so I'd be paying around $18,000 a year. I do also have a $10,000 scholarship I got in high school so my first year would only be 8,000. The bitch is it so hard for me to get loans as both my parents have claimed bankruptcy in the past 5 years and my dad lost his job a few months back.

Apply to UNR just to see. I think the WUE drops the price down a bit, but the housing fucks you over the first year haha.
No...Don't do UNR! They are lying about how much Reno physically smells. Lake Tahoe smells better and I don't have to smell Reno!
