I ski blends now and two kids that I always ski with have chronics. I've switched skis with my one friend with the same size boot multiple times before. We also ski about half park and half all mountain on the east. My one friend wishes that he got blends instead of his chronics and from my experience:
-Blends are much more fun to pop and butter
-When it snows, the blends float and carve in powder much better
-I like the feel of the chronics better on rails, but very slight difference
-I feel better landing natural jumps on the blends and swing weight is too close to tell the difference IMO
Overall, the extra 10 or so mm waist width and extra flex on the blends makes all mountain more fun and skiing powder easier, even if its only a few inches like it usually is on the east. The chronics may be the better park ski, but from my experience on both skis, I would even prefer the blends if I was riding park only. The only time I'd take chronics over blends would be if I needed a ski only for rails and urban. Hope that helps.
