I was wondering if any MSU students have recommendations for the dorms on campus, ill be going next semester as a junior and im not sure where the best place to live is.
I don't go there... But I've heard rumours that some of the dorms there have specific community rooms for waxing skis...
All the dorms are going to be a little whack just because you are older roskie and hedges for partying and ski wax rooms langford for older students more mature crowd
Okay cool, was looking at Jefferson or yellowstone too, they any good?
everyone ive talked to says that yellowstone kinda sucks
mttobrnOkay cool, was looking at Jefferson or yellowstone too, they any good?
jefferson is whack yellowstone is freshman only and the people are almost all rich a-holes who flaunt moms money
I go to MSU. I live in Roskie and love it. It's more of community than other dorms it seems. People working at the front desk are chiller than the other dorms. A lot of my friends in Yellowstone wish they were in Roskie
chris.goodhueLangford is lit
You don't wanna be in the Penis Palace. The hedges are dope but pretty much just standard dorms. South is better imo because it has laundry on every floor. Roskie seems to be love it or hate it for most people. Also the South Hedges wax room is shite go to the outdoor rec building to wax it costs basically nothing and the crew there is chill.

This is a fact

The apartments across from the stadium are pretty sweet worth looking into really nice off campus housing

Rookie seems to be the favorite but communal bathroom sounds like a pain. Reslife seems like a good option but can anyone fill me in?

Wangford is just a bunch of dudes but you get a big room
The Nasty North has nice rooms and is Co-ed which is pretty nice
The Dirty South is pretty close to North, Co-ed and has nice rooms
Potski is by far the most lively imo and Co-ed as well. Room setup is kinda cool or funky depending on how you look at it but overall very chill (and the best front desk)
Yellowstone has the nicest rooms by far but is more expensive than the other options.
Res Life and LGBTQ Apartments are cool but a bit more of a walk from everything. The LGBTQ Apartments are "meant" for the LGBTQ community but theyre really just co-ed apartments with big ass rooms and a nice kitchen.
Im currently in Roskie and like it alot. Pod System is pretty cool and you get used to the room size after a little while. There is also Fraternities across campus if you're into that

Got any more info on res life? Would I be better off somewhere more in the middle of campus or should I just go for it because of the kitchen/bathroom/good rooms
I’m living in Yellowstone right now which has been super fun. I’ve heard some of the floors are pretty anti social but 4th floor is a good time. Roskie is definitely the most social and has a distinct vibe but is definitely pretty old and needs some updates.

As a freshman, dorm life is the way to go imo. You meet tons of people and only lose a few of the amenities of being in an apartment. Public bathrooms are a thing but if you have shower shoes its honestly not that bad. I have yet to be in a Res Life dorm but if i do see one ill update here.
Res Life is fucking weird man just gonna be straight up there just live in the droms if youre under 20 and get some rooommates and find a place if youre above thats basically what everyone does
I was in north hedges last year and it was cool they had a waxing room. Also heard really rad things about roski sounds like a real good time. I'd shoot for there if I were going back to the dorms

Yeah I was worried about that. Thanks
North and South are the way to go in my opinion. Connected to Miller, you meet tuns of people and seemed socially more fun. Roskie is definitely a different vibe that seems a little more isolated to me.
Dorm like kinda blows but everyone is it together, just gotta make the most of it. I thought it was a blast.
Then get a house sophomore year if you don't fail or drop out and rage.

Most college dorms have communal bathrooms. Same with most people having a roommate. Not that big of a deal IMO
fghtoffyrdmnsi got arrested in roskie
Storytime?
Not as much going down with res life. Dorms you meet more people and the bathrooms aren't bad a janitor comes in every day or more as needed
I lived in North. Didn't have a very social floor, but met a ton of folks in Miller after skiing and shit. Just living on campus gives you a lot of opportunities to meet lots of people.
In langford right now and utterly hate it. Floor is a bunch of antisocial nerdy engineerd who play fortnite all day. I would def go Roske or South

I have yet to find the waxing room in north. In the basement somewhere?
OP, whatever you do...do not go with a random roommate. It will not work out and you will hate your life. Especially if you are a couple years older like me.

Yea it's in the basement opposite side of the tv and couch. You gotta get a key from the front desk too

Even after looking for a decent room mate? I'm coming from texas and will most likely know nobody at first.

Get on the Facebook page. That's how I met my roomate and worked out super well
Dude it doesn’t matter roommate tbh you’re either going to hate them or love them at the end of the year and unless you’re moving in with someone close to you which sounds like you’re not Just chance it. It could be luck of the draw put in my pod in roskie all of the roommates in our group that were random are like my best friends

I wanna beat my roommate to death and revive him so I can beat him to death a second time. Luck of the draw I guess.

All your best friends were complete strangers at once point. This matters even more college and above. Not too many people have that best friends they've known since they were 7 days old. And the ones that do have probably met some other people since. It's college. Talk to people, acquire friendships.
