I have been on 10-15 tours up to the summit of my home mountain but want to do a bunch more stuff not inbound. I have skis, at bindings, skins, and even an old avalung backpack. Just curious what other things yall think I need. Definitely need a beacon and stuff so just gimme suggestions. Also, I have an experticity account with work so I get deals on BCA and a few other places I believe. Cheers!
Just get one of the packages from BCA, solid deal good stuff.

Which package can you recommend? I can get the Basic DTS for 179.10, T2 package for 205.20 or the t3 for 226.80? The only reason i ask is because I'd naturally go with the basic DTS because of pricepoint but if the other two have good enough benefits to them then i could be swayed.
I prefer the Tracker 2. Super super easy to use. Never took the time to learn the tracker 3 interface...and its a little more difficult to use. I have plenty of friends that love the 3 though...as they took the time to learn it. Another thing i greatly prefer is the On/off and Search function on the T2. big ole switch to flip over to turn on, easy in gloves. But more importantly switching to search mode is just one tug on it. extremely easy with gloves of any sort. The tracker 3 uses a dial that is a good bit more difficult to operate from on/off and more importantly into search mode. I could see it being finicky with gloves/mitts on.
Get into a shop that sells a variety of transceivers and try them all out before buying. I personally am into the Pieps / Mammut Element for straightforward ease of use, but learned on the Tracker 2. Each has a different interface and feel to it.
The Tracker 3 is cool but I don't like the sounds it makes hahah

Thanks for the ideas man. Looks like ill go with either a basic dts or tracker two since im not going on any crazy tours. Also, i have a lightweight shovel already so ill search for a longer probe. Thanks all for the adivice!
Don’t get a DTS, it’s a fucking artifact compared to any of the modern beacons, and requires more finess to search with.
Personally I find the whole easy to use argument bullshit these days. I could pull any of the current 3 antenna beacons out, toss it to someone at random and you’d know how to use it in 30 sec flat.
I got the Pieps pro because it’s battery lasts longer and has my preferred multi search function.
Tracker 2 is super easy to use, but I like the peips dsp sport better. It's the same price range, a little more difficult to use, but it has way better functionality for multiple burials.
Mammut Element is super solid, would definitely recommend it.
