many of the pros skate, good training for balance and body control
Turned into a huge skate rat this past summer. I love it just as much as skiing. They feel very similar as well. Highly reccomend getting a good setup and learning how to ride everything from streets, hills, bowls, etc.

these have been my thoughts basically. like i mountain bike and slack line and stuff but skateboarding gives me that rush and excitement that nothing else gave me other than skiing
Just started this past summer. Been grinding at AndyA_Dog Williams park for like two weeks now. I'm not too good at street skating but tranny skating is where its at. Shred on!
I tired skating then I learned that concrete is not forgiving...
Got back into it this summer like usual but I have more confidence now, started trying more stuff on everything. Usually hitting the local park almost everyday or will hit Rye airfield, wanna go to Boston and another new park before ski season. Really wanna skate more mini ramps and ledges but only ledges are around here.
If if you're anywhere near Nashua NH there's a new park opening on 9/11, they let me in the other day and it's stupidly smooth and nice transition, wish it had street but it looks straight out of Cali.
Just started this year and its so damn hard but so damn fun. I cant wait until I'm decent. I spend most of my time either working on basic flat ground or hitting a local miniramp. Also working on kickflips and have gotten damn close but not quite put it down. I'm just trying to get one landed before winter which I think should be manageable. I'll post it on here when I land it

Same...
i almost fucked something in my good knee today, probably not going back to that place for a while cause its just to damn slippery. Think ill stick with flatground and small transition for now.
Was on and off about skating for like the past 5 years. I'd skate a few months and then get pissed and quit for like a year at a time lol. I think this time I'm actually gonna stick with it. Just learned kickflips consistently and i feel like fuckin Nyjah

If you're in NH and looking for a pretty good mini ramp/bowl to ride, the park in Dover has a pretty nice one. The street setup there is a little janky but still fun and I could spend hours on that miniramp

I wanna skate there, that it looks pretty fun for what it is, just looks like a sketchy area. That mini ramp looks nice though, the only ones around are concrete and will bite your wheels and paying to skate Rye sucks. Might go there when its not hot and humid anymore. Check out Nashuas new park, its good transition with some bowls but kinda steep quarter pipes, stupidly smooth surface though. Theres also a new one being built in lebanon, theres new stuff open to skate but theyre still builidng the second half of it i think.
I tried to skate some bowls in CO last year. It was fun but Jesus I need some more time on a board. Buddies trucks were super loose and it scared the shit out of me when I got cruising.
If I ever get a house I'm building a mini ramp Maybe even a bowl. I miss skating but I'm old and scared to fall
