I'm set on snagging a pair of the Meridians as a daily driver but I'm on the fence between the 181 and the 187. I'm 6', 175/type 3 skier. 187 doesn't seem that much bigger than my 185 JJ's but despite being full rocker the Meridian seems to have a pretty long effective edge. I think the 181 Meridian has more edge than my 185 JJ's but I'm worried that at 6 feet I'll get tip dive. Anyone on the Meridians able to offer any advice?
187. The reason the meridian has so much effective edge is because it has reflect tech (or whatever moment calls it) where the sidecut matches the rocker. as such, when put on edge it is essentially a full camber ski, but when the bases run flat they pivot like a full rocker ski.
Profahoben_212reflect tech (or whatever moment calls it) where the sidecut matches the rocker
You have the description correct, but the 107 Meridian sidecut does not match the rocker. The 117 Meridian has radius rocker (essentially the same as 4frnt's reflect tech) but the 107 Meridian didn't ski too well with the large 33m sidecut and was tightened up to 23m.
Either way, I'm about your build (6'2 155) and have skied the 181 and the 187 extensively. The 181 is a fun ski, but for guys our size the 187 is absolutely the way to go.

Bah. Thanks for the correction.
