Just wondering how you guys get your skis prepped before an event or even riding normally. Things like the particular way you wax or tune your skis
Just ski them like you usually do. As long as they ski fine out of comp they will be fine in comp.
I don't compete, but I have friends that do. Turn up your dins. You'll be able to pull off sketchy tricks without your skis popping off.
I don't really touch them. I don't want my skis acting different during a competition than I have been skiing them. This is for big mountain comps too....so getting a weird ski is bad haha
When i used to compete, i would do a base grind and structure, edge then detune and finally wax for where i was riding. I always found having the base structured ensured then ran as fast as possible. Being able to easily regain speed if you mess up is inportant when in slope for example. This is pretty much the same setup most pros get before a comp too.

If you've got new skis take a disc grinder to the edges under the boots. Seen way too many buddies go down with an edge catch on a fresh set.
Wax To the temp if it's going to be sticky. Can't clear the jumps and you're fucked.
