So I pulled my boots out of my bag this morning thinking that they'd be dry (had them on dryers last night after skiing for a couple hours). Left boot was fine but my right boot was wet and smelled like something died in it. Pulled out the liner and theres mold growing in my boot, on the boot board, and probably in the liner too, because the whole thing stinks. Caused by a missing screw in the removable sole. Does anyone know how to wash intuition liners? I think I can hit the boot itself and board with a borax solution to clean that out.
You should always take your liners out of the boot shell when drying.
And clean socks everyday.
For future readers, their website lists cleaning info:
Antibacterial soap and water and swish it around in the liners. Rinse with cold water and air dry.
If you have mold, you may have to do this a few times. Bleach would kill the mold, but I'm not sure if that would deteriorate the liners or not. Best bet to email the company.

I prefer the left in trunk till morning method.

Nothing like the feel of frozen boots in the morning. The nice snug ice cold hug around your feet. like the refreshing morning breeze. As you start to warm up they get wet as fuck, but then again, who wouldn't as you're probably riding at your peak level.
When I take my new boots out of the box, I throw them straight into the snowmaking pond for a minimum 4days 3 nights before I'll ride them. I want to make sure to get those proper saturation levels that work with my style. That little bit of squish also helps to soften the impact when I'm going big.
Dry boots are for pansies.

damn it must be warm af where you ski
Dont put them on until you know they are completely rid of mold. That seems to me like an easy way to get athletes foot.
Is NS so dead that a 10 month old thread about moldy boots gets brought back up? Hand washed them with powdered laundry detergent and dried out in front of the fireplace if anyone was wondering. Good as new.
If anyone wants a pair of Descendant 6's without the tongues hmu.
They're pretty clean and smell like Ocean Breeze
I use a pair of old liners when I ski the bag at the uop and it has water in the bottom and they get soaked and makes em smell like ass. I threw em in washer and left them out to dry. Using those same ones during preseason they still keep their heat pretty good and don’t smell nearly as bad they had like 100 days in em it happens.
If your mom complains about your boot stank. Just stock up on some of these.
