oh my bad but thanks man
Cant say much about SNC (never went there) but on the other hand CMC is an awesome school. There is a couple different campuses you can choose from but if your looking for the best park riding, breck/dillon is your best choice. I went there for two years (last year and the year before) and have nothing but great things to say. Classes are mostly once or twice a week and a lot are offered at night. in other words if you get your schedule dialed you can ski, anywhere between 4 and 7 days a week (i usually would work sat/sun to avoid i-70 crowd). classes are relatively easy and the professors are awesome. would definitely recommend cmc, only downside is the housing issue in summit county. cmc does not have dorms at the breck/dillon campus, but steamboat campus does.. hope this helps!
Check out CMC in Steamboat, you won't need a car and you will get in a tons of days. And there is a small hill that you can walk to from the campus for night park skiing. There is a water ramp for the summer. Its only a two year program but I believe most of the AA's transfer all credits to Sierra Nevada, if your looking at the resort or ski business programs. Small campus super chill environment.

You're just going for the party and the snow, right? Why not just work and not go to school? Way more money, and more time to ski/party.
Is school at all important to you?

From your post it seemed like skiing and partying were the priorities and the quality of the school/academic atmosphere, feeder schools etc was an afterthought.
I went to CMC Breck/Dillon. It was fuckin sick! got to ski all day at top notch parks and go to school/work at night. If you go there try and live in Breck. way more to do than Dillon. Free busses everywhere as well! Tuition is very affodable because they are one of the only schools that has not only federal and state funding like all schools but also sales and property tax pays for it too. that mean those rich fucks that spend all their money here and have a vaction house that never get used are forced into paying for your school. pretty nifty right? anyway, its a great school to either get a 2 year and move on to a bigger school or even better is their 4 year sustainability degree. most def worth it!!! SNC is also in a pretty dope location but I think the constistancy of colorado winters compared to tahoe winters would really sell me on CO.
Don't go to snc. Come to UNR if you want parties. From what I've heard they take stuff fairly seriously up at snc. That's all secondhand stories though
Coming from Rhode Island, anything you choose to do is going to blow your dick off and be awesome

This right here. Reno is way better than living around SNC, it's a great school, 45 minutes from most mountains AND will have a way better party / bar scene.

Ok well then you have seen big mountains. When i came here i had never left new england...well i know that arapahoe basin and keystone have housing in keystone at tenderfoot. Which is what got me out here a basin is super easy to get a job at. So if u can do that you will have a place to stay.. breck is where cmc is tho.. so it might be hard unless u have a whip...but if you work for a basin you ski the WHOLE state for free they have a ticket agreement with every resort. But thats what i did i lined up a job and a place to stay with a basin then headed out. Maybe just do that and sign uo for cmc once you get settled and you decide you like it here. School to me seems like a waste of time if u have common sense. And the work ethic bar is set extremely low in summit county. If you are responsible and do a good job at work you will be a hero. No one cares about w9rking here so they have trouble keeping good employees. Anyway hope this info helps ive been here a while and have a lot of info i could have used when i was headed here feel free to hit me up kid! Safe travels for whatever you choose... i also worked at the shelter harbor inn as a teenager! Haha

Cmc is in both Dillon and Breck and employee housing is way cheaper than the dorms anywhere. Dorms were created to rip off parents and their kids
